Accept that reality. Ang mga kabataan, they go all-out to support their idols, unlike the oldies na takot umattend ng mga live shows dahil sa kanolamg health condition, hehehe...#TruthHurts

    9. Hi paula. Ano network itatayo mo?

      Delete
    10. I agree with paula.. Kahit sana on teleserye lng na walang loveteam kahit love story mag pa audition just like sa marimar noon ni marian. Nag audition sha, and see what happens after? D ba sumikat sya and the serye?

    1. If you watch shows from korea, japan and thailand you would know na dalawang episodes lang ini-air nila every week and dapat complete na ang plot and all before pinoproduce kaya stable from start to end and maganda mostly ang pagkakagawa nila.Unlike dito kung saan akala eh mal edukado ang nanonood kaya ibang shows mga basura (sorry for the word).Kaya Bella, the people are not fighting for celebs like you but for us viewers who clamour for quality shows. And stop saying stuffs na films and such take "months of your life" kasi sa pag kakaalam ko if my calculations are right, you are paid millions for it and no there are also millions of us who are fully disappointed with lots of these shows because of the crappy format of making lots of rehashed storylines na patayan at kidnapan.Be open about criticisms, gosh!

      Delete
    2. Truth!! yung hindi pinapahaba yung show....that way the story isn't poorly written dahil hindi minadali or hindi nagdagdag ng kung ano ano just to pro long the show.

      Delete
    3. No, Korea has dailies too! I'm currently watching Sweet Enemy, All Kinds of Daughter in law, Lovers In Bloom, Nameless Woman and Return of the Lucky Pot which air Monday thru Friday. I had recently watched 3 of the worst kdrama I'm Sorry Kang Nam Goo, Blow Breeze and Love Is Drop by Drop.

    4. Japan airs one episode per week, and yes, both South Korea and Thailand air two episodes a week; however, South Korea also does "live shoots", and revising the script, shooting, editing and airing on the same day is also common there as well, but their dramas are still light years better than ours. The local film and tv industry really need to step up their game, because the viewers deserve better content and not just some half-assed effort of a movie or teleserye. The people in the local film and tv industry should stop producing sub par content, because really, all they're doing is insulting the intelligence of the Filipino viewers.

    5. 12:44 as far as I know ganun din ang pinoy seryes dati, ang problema nga lang parang wala siyang katapusan at nakakatandaan na ng mga aktor ang role (similar sa mga american shows). Have no idea kung paano nagsimula yung everyday na serye.

      Delete
    6. Agree 12:44.

    7. You're on point, 12:44. Couldn't have said it better!

    8. Super agree kay 12:44. Sad to admit, i only watch US and korean series now. Sayang mag-invest mg time ko. Sana maayos ung sistema para makaproduce ng quality shows from start to finish.

  9. may point silang dalawa. kaya lang mas gusto ko yung sa paula dapat yung mga tv Series natin gawing 1 o 2 episodes nalang pero week. at palitan yung mga masyadong gamit ng plot. mas maraming work! mas maraming shows yan pag nagkataon. para may recall sa tao yung show kasi a abangan mo talaga Weekly pati yung characters. hindi dahil sa sobrang haba kaya mo na nakilala yung characters .

  10. Well, Paula has a point. Pinoy seryes and movies are not well-crafted in terms of storytelling, time allocation and acting. It's about loveteams and profit-first-policy.

Compare it to the movies in the 70s, 80s where the story was the main focus. No need of loveteams as long as the main lead stars have chemistry and acting chops to boost, ok talaga siya.

Sa Pinoy showbiz, FANS FIRST muna before ang STORY.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's all because of the elite members of the media that we have such sh*tty shows. It's an elaborate ploy by the oligarchs to keep the poor, impressionable masa dumb by shoving them down cliche-ridden, formulaic teleseryes which the latter lap up readily. Think about it. The rich obviously don't want the poor to become critical thinkers because if that happens they won't have anyone to exploit to those lowly jobs with terrible wages.

    1. May point ka rin, 12:45. As long you you keep the masses happy. Never mind if you insult their intelligence. Ganun lang ang thinking ng mga producers.

    2. I agree to both anon 12:44 and 12:45. Eksakto

      Delete
  12. I very much agree with the sentiments of Paula. Most teleseryes specially in abscbn are either re-hashed, tweaked from a previous story or just made up just to put the kilig factor to make the fans of the main LT in the TS happy. Not only this, once the TS rates, it will be extended for a couple of months, messing up the storyline, showing a series which makes the audience look dumb. Viewers and advertisers deserve more than this kind of treatment. We need more quality teleseryes with quality actors in it too. Oh come on, directors and writers could do better than this. No wonder Koreanovelas are becoming more popular nowadays...

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly! That's why I never watched filipino series kasi nasasayang lang oras mo dahil biglang liliko ung story! I like koreanovelas and of course English series.

      Delete
    2. The reason why they suck is because there is no ending to their teleserye storyline. It is very fluid especially if it's a hit. I think it's fine to extend but please, they have to write a better & more exciting extention to the original story.

    3. 12:57AM, that's the point. Most Pinoy viewers who are not fans of any loveteams have been watching US and/or Korean and/or other countries na movies-series because same old-same old lang ang Pinoy seryes and movies.

Loveteam hanggang year 3000, ok lang sa yo?

      Delete

Why can't they make seryes na ang focus yung veteran stars. Like what they did with "The Greatest Love." They should make more stories like that. Tapos yung mabilis din.

      Delete

They are just using the popularity of LTs to sell their recycled stories sa mga batang audience.

      Delete
  15. may point ung paula pero i don't think ganun kadali yun as filipinos are used to watch the seryes everyday, sa totoo lang, mas marami pa din nag lolook forward na manood gabi gabi, isa pa, uso ang love team sa pilipinas, love teams brings advertisers, pera pera din ang labanan, even if she thinks the script isn't finished half way here in the phils, she should also know sa US even sa south korea same lang kaya most of the time it takes a couple of months to wait for only 10 to 22 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Paulo has a point to be honest. a very good point. But there are soooo many factors to consider if Philippine TV were to change the format of our shows...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  18. Truth puro na lang ganon yung stories. That's why I like korean dramas better. The story plots, the ost, the cinematography, the styling/costumes are all amazing.

  20. May point si Paula...although, sa dami ng artista ngayon,a regular nightly sitcoms/shows that last for years might limit the appearances of other celebs too.

  39. May point yung paula. Different approaches, same plot endings

    ReplyDelete
  40. May comment din dito mga staff and producers behind those seryes. I guess dapat both sides ang kunan ng pahayag kasi may point din sila.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Totoo to... Halatang minadali at di binusisi.

That's business kasi. Before lagi silang live shoots. I think it all boils down to the story. Kesehodang twice a week or daily pa yan, kung maganda ang pagkakasulat ng story at maayos ang pacing walang problema. Quality over quantity pa din dapat ang basehan.

Di porke't ganyan ang format sa US - irerelate mo na sa culture... its just a suggestion na baka pede nating ipattern... eh kung yan ang type mo na daily mo napapanood idolo mo... di ko babasagin trip mo... pero huwag mo ding ibash si Paula kung anong opinion nya...mag comment ka about how you feel dun sa sistema at wag dun sa nagtake initiative na magpost ng opinion nya... kaloka ka...

Either ABS or GMA needs to step up or if again TV5 has a chance to be risky and deliver quality television, they would eventually follow.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

  50. Magsitigil kayo. Nakikinood lang kayo ng libre. Pag pelikulang may bayad doon kayo magreklamo. Hahaha

    ReplyDelete
Unlike sa Korea all stars can appear in diff channels.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Art imitates life as they say. If that will be the basis of what shows are catered by the networks; then, the old adage must be true and its very alarming. Kidnapping, 3rd parties, at kahit mga fantaseryes are trapped in a limbo showcasing low-budget special effects and 'gasgas' na storyline. As an audience who has great taste in the magical world of tv and films, this kind of non-intellectual showcasing of talents bored me to the bones. Time to level up Pinoys.
