  2. Kung ibang mga artista lang siguro ang gumanap sa movie na to baka kumita pa to ng todo

    1. I don't think the actors in the film failed in their craft. They are all good and they portrayed their characters effectively that they really captivated the audience.

    2. 2:12 - What Aling Mariah is saying is that kung sina Piolo or John Lloyd or Coco Martin ang gumanap e di sana pumatok ito sa takilya. John Arcilla is an underrated actor. He's super galing kaya!

    3. Sino gusto mo,aling maria si daniel padilla o tom rodriguez? Babaw mo talaga

  3. I watched the movie yesterday and gosh, it deserves any awards both local and international. I'm just pissed off at the back of my seat bcoz they keep on asking their companion on why "Apolinario Mabini" seated in the entire movie? And i'm like, whattt?? Nag elementary ba tong bata na 'to? Grabe, lande ng lande cguro ang inatupag.

Ps: Daniel and Kath are bagay on the next trilogy tho.

Joji Alonso for distributing the film.

    1. Star Cinema has done socially relevant films in the past, like Dekada '70, Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa, Lahar, Bagong Buwan, Eskapo, Mila. But, these films will not sit well with today's audiences. I agree, Star Cinema should make more socially relevant films, we've had our share of romcoms, family dramas & mistress movies. Time for them to make films that are good for the soul & provide a glimpse of our colorful history.

I loved Heneral Luna by the way.

  11. Sana ma-educate din yung nagpost na both Star Cinema and GMA Films, has done quality films.

So mga bago dito, GMA Films has produced Jose Rizal, Muro-Ami, Sa Pusod Ng Dagat (which btw was our entry to the Oscars) and Bagong Bayani.

  12. Congratulations to Heneral Luna. Watched it yesterday at Halos yan din ang kasalukuyan natin. Kaya wag magtiwala.

  13. Tamuh! Wag maging crab mentality. There's nothing wrong with enjoying Paybeyt Benjamin or No Other Woman. Each to his own.

On another note, it also doesnt mean that watching Heneral Luna elevante one's intellectual capacity and historical awareness. We should always be decisive about any info that are presented to us as fact or fiction. In the end, what matters is that we learn from them.
