PNoy Leaves Some SAF Families Hurt

President Aquino's answers to families of the slain police Special Action Force (SAF) commandos in Mamasapano left them hurt, one widow told ABS-CBN News.

"Janet," the wife of one of the slain SAP troopers, said Aquino even scolded them when they met at Camp Crame Wednesday.

Her account of the meeting, which was sent to ABS-CBN News, echoed what another SAF relative felt after Aquino talked to her.

Janet said the were made to wait for hours for the President.

This is what several families of the slain SAF troopers asked the President, and his answers, according to Janet:

The President reportedly admitted that he knew about the Mamasapano clash as early as 7 a.m., but directly blamed now-sacked SAF chief Getulio Napeñas for the fiasco.

The President also said it's not easy sending reinforcements and compared it to going to a mall to meet a friend.

Janet also said they couldn't accept what Aquino told another family, who asked for justice for the slain police officers.

Aquino allegedly asked the family if they wanted him to get the fingerprints of all enemy combatants in the Mamasapano clash.

The President also reportedly said he and the SAF families were "equal" because his father was also killed.

Aquino reiterated that it was Napenas' fault, according to Janet.

Janet said some families just went home and did not talk to Aquino because they were dismayed with what he said.

PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo, meamnwhile, denied that a confrontation took place between Aquino and the families of the slain SAF commandos.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte on Friday said Malacañang respects the sentiments of the SAF troopers.

"Owing to the fact that their loss is very, very fresh and that they lost their loved ones in such a manner, we would understand… [that] they look at that opportunity to be able to ask the President questions differently," Valte said.

"There are also families who have chosen not to speak of their private conversation but also did say they have no ill feelings towards the President. So at this point, we respect the differentiation of how he was received," she said.

But what were they expecting from this sad excuse of a leader?

    1. They were expecting empathy. What they got was apathy instead. Way to go Panot. Alienate your public more, why don't you?

    2. Sobrang dami ng namatay na armies at marines kahit noon pa. Now, it's magnified... They are policemen and soldiers, ready to battle. They know na part ng pagiging hero nila ay ganito...

  2. Kung totoo man to, wala talaga ako masabi sayo Mr. President. Ikaw na talaga! Lagi mo nalang sinisisi ang ibang tao. Man up dude! Oh, cmon! its completely different! Kabwisit.

  4. If I were PNoy, I will step down and just leave politics. Philippines and its people are not worth your time. Let the the people who "LOVES" the Philippines kuno take the Presidency's post. Nobody cares if you do good. They just see what you have done wrong.

    1. What you said is right. He should step down because he's incompetent. Walang political will and doesn't know how to man up. But on the other hand he's only insurance right now is that mas bigger evil ang Vice President. But open your eyes Bastos ang presidente mo. Walang pakiramdam. What good has he done to the families of the fallen? He just rubs their wound with salt every time he tries to win them back. Why? Because he really doesn't care. Period. Yun Lang yun. Maybe we should just stop expecting him to care because he never will lets just accept that he's a politician and that all he will ever be.

  14. Why does Aquino always equate his father's death to that of the 44 SAF men and says "Patas na tayo, pareho tayo namatayan". How insensitive he is, tao ba ito??? How can they be equal, when his father died, his mom became the president of this nation, his family amassed millions from the previously owned government properties and companies, Kris Aquino on national TV from morning 'til night, and the worst part, He is now the President of this beautiful country, and will enjoy all the priviliges, benefits when his term ends. Eh itong mga family members ng SAF, ni justice yata di nila makamtan with the way the president answers those question, pabalang pa!!! Que horror!!!

So he wants every child to feel the same pain he did? Didn't the whole nation fight their fight, We lost a lot of our countrymen to glorify and serve justice for your father's death?! Despite Cojuangco-Aquino ancestors history during colonial wars, all of that was by-pass. Don't try to bring back the pass an excuse. If we are here to rewind the past, Mr. President family will lost its honour, shame will replace it.

    3. U might also be forgetting na hindi ito micro management. Kaya nga each person has his/her own responsibility. And the president has to trust his people to his/her job.

And honestly, Pnoy was never the charismatic and tactful person. He was never the nurturing type. I would rather that he makes steps to solve the problem, rather than spend too much time trying to appease everyone and not hurt people's feelings. Move on na tayo, utang na loob! We need to look for and toward solutions and stop focusing on the drama!

  30. To be honest, Yes, i am saddened to the fallen 44 victims and to their families. Why some filipinos when they had the side of the majority they want people to see that they're unfortunate. I'm impressed of what Pnoy did, definitely he has a lot responsibilities to do. But, he sincerely tries to lend his ear for the family of the victims. And true life is incomparable. Money is not the equivalent of life. However, if they think beyond. Pnoy made effort to talk, explain and emphasized with them. Ano ba talag ang gusto nila? Justice? Do they think they will get justice right away in having a conversation with the president? Definitely No! The best thing to do right now is to pray. Nobody wants that to happen except for those people who killed them. Pnoy does everything all he can to solve this problem. And to those who wants to resign pnoy? They are insecure. Tignan nyo ang economic growth of the philippines you will see that PNoy is best so far as the president of the philippines. Marami kasing natatakot na baka tumakbo si pnoy ulit that is why all black proganda rise unexpedtedly and this fallen 44 issue many of them are taking advantage on this situation. See! One mistake will forget all the beautiful that you do. Yan ang mga taong walang Faith, mga insecure, mga envous, and all the seven deadly sin nasa kanila. Basta, have faith in God, pray, and he will the one para ma solve ang prayer mo.

Hindi sya 'straight to the point' gaya ng sabi mo. Ang hingi ng marami key Noynoy ay to own up on his responsibility dito.
