    5. Netherlands' answer was on the right track. Sayang!

    1. At first I thought miss Jamaica's answer was dumb but then I realized it was a very specific answer to the question. The question requires something ur country is identified with. The answers of d rest could be answered by any of them.

    2. Marami kasi sa mga kabataan ngayon are not familiar with the music of Bob Marley and the legacy he left in the field of reggae music. The man is a legend.

    3. When I watched the replay, okay naman pala ang sagot ni Jamaica. It's better than world peace, hope and love.

  7. Base from the answers...the 4th runner up should have been the Miss U 2014. Are they sure they read the list right while announcing the winners??? More like upside down, hmph!

    3. our OFW's genuine love and care is actually the greatest contribution of the Phils. to the world. it has saved billions of lives not only cared for the physically sick but for the emotionally sick as well. iba mag alaga ang mga pinoy, tuturing ka talagang pamilya.

      Delete
    4. ovkorz i-explain naman ni MJ na hindi yung kasikatan ni pacquiao ang contribution ng bansa. pacquiao serves as an INSPIRATION AND LIVING PROOF for those who dream to become someone... that hardwork, perseverance and faith truly pays off in the end. thank you!

  15. Sagot ni Ms. COLOMBIA, "MY COUNTRY HAS BEEN AN EXAMPLE FOR THE REST OF THE COUNTRIES."

    1. Tama na beks. In fairness, contribution din nila si Shakira at Sofia Vergara. LOL

      Delete
    2. I think miss Colombia was referring to their countries COCAINE distribution to the world......that's why she became Miss Universe, LOL!!!

Among the top 5, Si miss Jamaica Lang ang Medyo havey ang sagot.

      Delete
    3. Yup. When that question was being asked to Ms. Colombia, i thought about drugs as the country's contribution to the world.

  17. Ive read one comment about jamaica's answer about bob marley and weed. He's music is all about equality, peace and stepping out of the norms

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. His po. Wag ding jeje sa paggamit ng grammar.

  18. Miss Colombia: ang laki ng donation namin sa MU this year kaya deserve ko ang crown!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't know how that even passed as the question to ask. Quite unfair. It doesn't showcase the attitude, outlook, wit or even the true intelligence of the candidate. Either you know your country's history or not. When you are crowned that becomes irrelevant since your advocacy becomes worldwide.

More suited for local pageants to check if candidates know their own country.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That was a facebook question. Kaya nga may pre-Q&A to test their own wit and outlook.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  22. Magandang sagot sana ng Philippines ay, The greatest contribution that the Philippines offered to the world is its people.. (OFW, talented artists.. etc)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  24. Buti hindi napasok si mj sa final 5, otherwise her answer will be--- the greatest contribution are corrupt politicians who robbed and make our life miserable

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ok ka lang? Sinong b*bo ang sasagot ng ganun? Siguro ikaw pa. Ipahiya ba ang sariling bansa kalurkey comment mo teh napaka nega!

  25. It's a beauty pageant guys. What do you expect.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Our greatest contribution to the world was Edsa Revolution headed by Former Pres Cory Aquino. It showed unity and the power of the people to fight for democracy. Other countries followed after that. Sayang! MJ didn't make it to top 5. She would have killed it. And yes the gown sucks!

    ReplyDelete

    1. teh, pano naging contribution sa world yun? eh for the Philippines ang effect

    2. Ano 1142: inspiration nga, me gumawa after, hmp

  27. it should be the OFWs, specially the maid or yayas kasi mamamatay lahat ng babies pag walang nag-alaga.

not to mention, the yaya looking exotic pinays because they attract western people and produce the most beautiful half breeds.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  29. now i know why ms jamaica placed 4th, so what if you have bob marley??? Bob Marley's contribution to the world is his music and it so happen he's from colombia. well actually, msyadong general and safe ang mga sagot ng most contestant. wlang wow factor, i think MJ can give a smarter answer than them. bitter ocampo lng!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Before you make any assumptions make sure you understand theur culture first. Those in the Carribean are known for their fun-loving nature, hipster lifestyle etc., with Bob Marley's music, it revolutionized proper attitude and outlook in life for them that's why they treat him as an idol. Even until now, they still celebrate his being well-known around the world. If for other countries they take pride in sports, etc., for their country, music is their timeless glory.

      Delete
    2. di bale teh ikaw na sumalang next year! galing mo eh! hhahahahahaah

      Delete
    3. She should have said their culture, music and artist, instead of just referring to bob marley alone. Parang sa PH lng yan, we have Jose Rizal with a long list of legacy to the world. It is his contribution and not the Philippines as a nation.

      Delete
  30. All crappy answers.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm just appalled that anyone would question Ms. Jamaica's answer.
The question "what is the greatest contribution of your country?" is as clear as the sun!. Now, when you think of Jamaica, what is the first thing that pops in your head, Reggae? Music? Bob Marley? which is a very fitting answer. It doesn't have to be a like world peace, love and hope etc--that's too cliche.

Her answer was perfect, it was very specific and witty.

  32. Gahd. I don't know why I missed this show! Ms USA's, Miss Netherland's and Miss Jamaica's answers were on point. I actually loved Miss Jamaica's reference to Usain Bolt; I thought it a very creative answer. Miss Ukraine's response was the worst. And Miss Colombia? She should have answered "the biggest drug cartels!" Oh no! I'm being mean here!
