The recent typhoon in The Philippines has claimed thousands of lives and left many struggling to access basic medical care.

And now, Kim Kardashian is bringing attention to their plight by launching an eBay sale of her clothes and accessories.

However, rather than donate the entire proceeds of the sale to non profit organisation International Medical Corps, the multi millionaire is only giving ten percent to the charity, according to the eBay posting.

Launching the sale on Thursday, the 33-year-old reality star tweeted a link to her personal website where she had written a personal letter.

'Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organisation that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications,' she wrote.

Only ten percent: Multi-millionaire Kim Kardashian, pictured in a Stella McCartney dress in January 2013, is donating a small portion of the proceeds from her clothing sale to International Medical Corps

'The proceeds will go directly to the communities they’re serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives.

'My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction here and support those who need our help in the Philippines. Xo.'

Kim has a reported net worth of $40million.

Sale: The website states quite clearly the amount of money going to the charity

You could own this: Bidding has already began for some of Kim's 'favourite' items, including this L'Wren Scott outfit which she wore in Dubai in October 2011

Dress for success: Kim's listing features dozens of designer outfits

The sale lists dozens of items of 'Kim's favourite clothes and accessories' from high end designers including Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada.

Many of the items are listed as European size 42 (US size 8/UK size 12).

There are also more affordable pieces from Kim Kourtney and Khloe's clothing line The Kardashian Kollection.

Some of the more distinctive pieces of clothing are accompanied by photographs of Kim posing in the outfits on red carpets and at events.

MailOnline reached out to Kim's representative for comment but have yet to receive a response.

Website plea: Kim posted some information about the charity, along with the charity and eBay posting

Her actions are far removed from those of generous Victoria Beckham and her husband David are donating thousands of pounds worth of designer clothes to their local charity shop to raise cash for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The couple have handed over boxes full of their old clothes and shoes to a British Red Cross shop in Chelsea, west London, to help fund the charity’s work in the Philippines.

Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, is the second-deadliest Philippine typhoon on record and has so far claimed the lives of more than 4,000.

The cyclone caused catastrophic destruction in the central Philippines, particularly on Samar Island and Leyte with many people left homeless and without access to clean drinking water.

    1. 10% is not bad. It can still helps some kids... But I feel that it's too little considering that she is rich, I hope she is not using those victims of Hayaian. Too sad!

    2. thanks but no thanks. i've donated far more than what she gave.

    3. We appreciate any help but the not-so-good-thing here is how the calamity, which moved people from all walks of life even countries that are not seeing eye to eye, is somewhat used to promote her auction/online shop which gave her more profit than it deserved.

Kahit walang sakuna?! As a tithe?!

Parang monthly nya ata yun ginagawa. So we should be thankful na nabiyayaan tayo ng 10%. And di natin alam, malay natin, na silent pala siya magdonate to other charities. Ayaw ipaalam. Yung iba jan makapang bash/makapang judge lang e. Che!

    3. $40million ang kinita so $4million ang donasyon nya. Masama pa ba yun??? $ ha hindi P

  4. 10% is still helpful. Just saying.

    1. And by substance you mean, attention seeking, self-absorbed, self-promoting, self-serving, repulsively vain, and talentless creature who got famous because of a sex tape? If that's what you meant, then yeah, she is indeed a woman of substance!

      taking advantage sya!

    2. I so agree with this. She's no different from local politicians who are using the typhoon victims for their own game. Ginawa pa nya tayong kasangkapan sa garage sale nya so that she can get more mileage. I don't feel the sincerity. With her $40M net worth, she can afford to give even 200% of the profits but she is a greedy b**ch so what else can we expect.

  8. I dont like her as a celeb but please dont tell me she will judged, ridiculed and bashed because she chooses to donate 10% lang. Whoever thinks that that should be frowned upon is a disgusting person. She tries to help, and we should be thankful. Not because the Beckhams donated all proceeds of their auction doesnt mean all celebs must do the same.

Kung 10% ang pinili nyang ibigay then thank you Kim K. Bless her heart.

    1. Bless your heart but pls dont use our tragedy for your own propaganda. Bow!

    2. Oo nga 10% is still money that will go to the victims of the typhoon. She doesn't have to do it pero she is still willing to give money.

    4. she's taking advantage, using the tragedy to her benefit..but well, at least she was honest to say that only 10% goes to charity..

  9. Wag na magreklamo! Buti nga magbibigay pa!

  10. thankful ako sa 10% donation pero wag nya naman ipaggiitan n 'for typhoon victims' ung auction nya kasi clearly 90% is for herself. iba talaga nagagwa pag may class at puso ang tao at hndi famewhoring lang ang ginagawa.

    2. Sorry I'm not 12:39 but the same sentiments. 10% is not being generous. If that is a benefit concert I understand because you have to pay for operating cost like rentals and marketing. But online auction is nothing like that. So the act is not being generous, she is using our mishap to gain more wealth. Excuse me ms kardashian, I'm not thankful nor amused.

  12. 10% is obviously not much to help the vics but keri na...sino ba tayong mga pinoy para tulungan in the 1st place diba?! Whats important is she offered help di tulad nung pakulo ni rhian na may chipipay kang fansign nya taz deretso sa personal account ang pera lalo na yung pakulo ng forever famehors na jamich...lets be thankful for the help offered no matter how small or big it is...yun na! Paaaak!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ive always believed in helping from the heart but the real issue here is not the amount but how this calamity that had claimed 4000 lives were used for her own agenda. Well, i guess its not suprising anymore given how she/her family sells their lives for fame & money

    ReplyDelete
  15. wala namang kaso kung 10% lang kaso misleading yung ad. it focused too much on the victims when clearly the auction was not for them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My point of view here is that she's no different from local politicians who are using the typhoon for their own gain. What a famewhore, and I don't feel the sincerity to help. Thanks, but no thanks. Woman of substance my a**.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I Agree. Kim's auction is self serving and misleading. People who bid at charity auctions are under the impression that all proceeds will go to the charity - not 90% to Kim's purse and only 10% to charity and by the time you take out the charity's admin cost, the beneficiaries will be lucky to see 3% of the actual money collected in the first place. It's disgusting especially if you compare it with the amount of money and good publicity Kim has earned from her so called 'generosity' to Haiyan victims.

    2. Pano naging misleading eh nakalagay naman na "a part of the proceed"

  17. F*** THIS B****. She is using this for attention. Yes, I am belittling the 10% she is donating. Bakit, did you really think she bought most of her clothes? Most of them were probably sent by designers!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. K. Thanks. We understand that the 90% will probably go to more plastic surgeries since you have another wedding coming up.

She's not even required to give the philippines anything. Wag naman masyado makapal muka nyo.. Tinulungan na nga nagreklamo pa sa amt?. Saka it was clearly stated in her ad "a portion of the proceeds" imagine if makabenta sya $100k, $10k kagad sa philippines, and again she is not required to give us a single centavo.

    1. Tama!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bilang Pinoy feeling ko naexploit tayo.Ginamit pa nya yung calamity dito para kumita.lech!classless!walang binatbat kay Victoria Beckham.Actually kahit kay Angel Locsin at Anne Curtis.Di hamak na mas malaki kita nya dun sa dalawa pero sila nagbenta ng kotse at designer items para makatulong.100% of the profit goes to the survivors.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mga bashers na pinoy wag ganyan. Bilang direct beneficiaries la tayo right mag reklamo. Remember She's not required to give us anything. Saka imagine if she sells $100K , $10K MAPUPUNTA SA victims. Madami na mapapakain, nagagamot etc yun. Besides it was clearly stated in her ad that only a"portion of the proceed" will go to the victims.

    ReplyDelete
ANONG MISLEADING DUN?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't understand the fuss about the famewhore...period!!!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  30. 10% is still something. wag na magjudge tutal hindi naman sya pilipino buti nga nagbibigay pa. typical pinoy magrereact pa imbes na magthank you nalang sa tulong.

    ReplyDelete
  31. kim k. is getting flak from international media. the 10% she's donating from the proceeds of the sale is the maximum amount she can claim as a deduction from the taxes. so in effect, she's not donating anything, but is in fact profiting from the misery of the people who suffered from typhoon yolanda by promoting her online shop. i can't wait for the day this biyatch fades into obscurity. she's so evil and greedy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dun sa nagsabi na at least nagbigay eto po yun kinasangkapan ni Kim ang trahedya natin sa Pinas para mapansin yung garage sale nya more a measly 10%. Yung mga gamit a lot of them came from sponsorship din kaya. Gusto lang nya kumita at sa totoo lang Kimye and her hairy family should be banned from any forms of media. Social cancer that's what they are. Hindi namn ako masyadong galit.

    ReplyDelete
Well, what do you expect. Judgemental kung judgemental.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Like her or hate her, she has huge following ( not just huge literally, haha, but she lost a lot na yata) the 10% could spell into a million pesos , maybe. Let's not hate, what angers me is our very own so called public servants na walang binigay and namumulitico sa relief efforts. I don't expect much from her anyway, she's not known to be a deep person and a philanthropist.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ano ba kayo nakalagay naman " a portion of proceeds" , ano kinakagalit nyo? The nerve?

  36. atleast may nabigay..oa nyo,kayo meron bah?

  37. kuripot yata talaga siya, so thank you na rin sa 10%, becausei know that that's a lot for someone kuripot. hindi pwede ipilit ang generosity, nasa saloob yan

    1. yeah, i hear that's how she managed to outearn kanye who earns because of his talent. i don't like her her or idolize her but i think that charity should not be belittled, regardless of the amount. everyone who donates and announces it publicly has an agenda anyway.
