Bb. Pilipinas Candidate Theresa Fenger Backs Out Due to Racy Photos

Binibining Pilipinas candidate #35 Theresa Fenger voluntarily backed out from the pageant due to alleged racy photos from FHM men's magazine and other magazines.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc., enforces a rule that any candidate who has posed for sexy magazines will be automatically disqualified.

It looks like Ms. Fenger belatedly came to know about the ruling thus realized her indiscretion. This prompted her to withdraw voluntarily from the the competition after weeks of participation in the pre-coronation activities. Incidentally, Ms. Fenger was also the female winner in the Century Tuna Superbods 2009.

Binibining Pilipinas has not yet released an official statement as of this publication. However their website no longer includes the name of  Theresa Fenger on the roster of Binibining Pilipinas 2013 candidates.

If we recall, former Binibini candidate, Sandra Seifert, was also disqualified for posing for FHM magazine. But she recovered from that and joined Miss Philippines Earth 2009 and eventually won. She further vindicated herself by placing Miss Earth-Air 1st Runner-up in the Miss Earth Pageant.

Meanwhile, model KC Gonzalez Cajandig from General Santos City was chosen to replace Ms. Fenger.

  1. At bakit di niya alam ang rule na to? Di ba dapat she should acquaint herself with the rules before joining? Sayang lang tuloy ang effort niya.

Pero I think the rule is kinda hypocritical. Ayaw ng BBP Charities ng mga girlalu na na-feature sa men's mags, etc. Bakit? Ano ba tingin ng mga tao sa mga BBP candidates? Kulang na lang tawagin silang objects of sexual desire. All those skimpy bikinis during the pageant are not different from those being worn by the girls when they shoot their photos for the mags!

  3. They should change the rule. If that's all the pics she had in FHM amount too then they shouldn't have a problem with them. They were tasteful - and I'm a girl. A side by side photo of the disqualified candidate with her replacement clearly shows that the replacement will not fare well in international competitions - malaki ang gap. And for those who insist that personality and intelligence count - yeah right, all 10% of it. The rest or 90% depends on beauty and body. After all, it's a beauty contest.

  4. Funny though, after most candidates win their titles from BB. Pilipinas, they flock straight to FHM. Are we missing something here???

  6. I don't get the difference between being in skimpy bikinis because it is required by the pageant to do so vs. posing tastefully in a magazine with more clothes than running around in bikinis all day. Masyadong Hypocrite naman yung head ng BPCI.

  9. Siguro sa kanila iba ang pagsuot ng bikini for pageant purposes (even if you're paraded in it in a city) sa posing for a men's magazine. 1st, ano ba ang usual connotation ng men's magazine dito sa atin? May it be FHM or GQ, usually may sexual undertone ang mga photos. As for wearing a bikini for pageant purposes, para ka lang nag-model ng bikini sa Cosmo na female ang market. Lesson here siguro sa mga aspiring candidates, be cautious of the projects you'll accept if you really want to win the crown. Kung nanalo ka na, atleast pagnag-pose ka sa men's magazine, front cover ka. Indi yung mga unknown sa luob :)

  13. I can say sayang siya kasi physically very qualified siya. Pero rules are rules. Lahat ng contest mayroon niyan. On the other hand, maganda rin ang credentials ng pumalit sa kanya.
