    2. anne hathaway is a fan of leah salonga 12:28 what made you say she's insecure?the reason why anne got pissed off with ricky lo's interview is bec he kept on asking about a topic (leah) which has already been talked about

    3. Anon 12:28, Anne is not a singer and she admitted that. Bakit naman siya mai-insecure kay Lea? Anne is much younger, prettier and a better actress than Lea. If you watched the 25th Anniversary CONCERT of Les Miz where Lea played the character played by Anne in the movie version, Lea did not do much acting. Lea's singing was flawless, though.

    4. Anon 2:53 theres a big difference between live performance and a movie. Anne only seem to have acted better because she did the movie in which they can take the scene first then dub but if youre singing live (like lea and most of the theatre actors/actresses) it is more important to concentrate on the singing rather than the acting... after all it is called a Musical show.

    1. Define boring? Nasanay ka kasi sa Gangnam Style. You're not exposed to the more sophisticated genre.

      Delete
    2. @2:55 Why so obnoxious? Ikaw na exposed sa sophisticated. Pretensyosa

      Delete
    3. Not boring at all! Just like what the male host said, its haunting! Gave me goose bumps!

  16. If I will compare Lea w/ other pinoy pride as they say... bruno, nicole, charice, apl, jessica, I'd say lea is the best among them. Di siya starlet. Icon siya. like pacman, a hundred years from now, people will still remember them. They are already part of history of the world's entertainment industry.

    ReplyDelete

    1. and she is pure pinoy. correct ka jan.

      Delete
    2. Iba sila bruno, nicole, apl, jessica. They are not 100% pinoy. Americans think of them as their own. Sa Pilipinas lang naman sila kinikilala na mga Pinoy but here in the US, they don't talk about it much.

      Delete
    3. agree - filipinos make a big deal of them being filipinos but to be frank, they really are not. they are americans.

  17. Bravo! Ang linis ng boses

  18. I love Lea Salonga. She's phenomenal. One of the very few who has very good American accent pero matatas pa rin magTagalog (rarely Taglish) pag iniinterview. She's humble, beautiful, and talented. Very elite. I only have respect and love for Lea.

Sana lahat ng pinoy artist ganito (local or international). Saka wag kayong maarte pag interview. I'm looking at you Jericho Rosales.

    1. i saw jericho rosales being interviewed here in the states when we was promoting his indie film, very recently. he spoke in tagalog, not english.

    3. nababasa mo ba, charice? hehehe

      Delete
    4. Agree! Lea is the epitome of a real actor (read: actor refers to both female and male). Sana lahat ng mga starlets like Charice, et al will emulate her grace and class.

  19. like na like walang kupas

  20. If you guys got the chance to watch the real Les Miserables show with Lea performing live, you can't believed how truly good she is. I watch that show and it always give me goosebumps everytime I see her sing... Truly proud for Lea...

I'm not being unnationalistic, pero nakakabilib lang kasi she easily blends well with Americans, and she's understood by them. Come again?" or "Say that again, please" or "What was that again?"

    ReplyDelete

    1. i know teh. kakaimpress ang lokah!

      Delete

      Delete
    3. marami sa mga Pinoy pag nagsasalita ng English may American twang, kahit di lumaki sa USA or never even been there. kaya nga tayo maraming call centers sa 'Pinas.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Lea grew up in the stage....she was playing annie, etc. at repertory phils...so this is not really a surprise but correct, she is good in both english and tagalog and really carries herself with such class and grace....

  22. Hi Leah,We're friends you know!

    you're the best!

    Anne sucks!!!

  23. Is it just me, or is Lea being a bit bitchy here? I think the female host said or did something off cam which offended Lea. Notice Lea's body language. And the fact that she thanked the male host for pronouncing her name right- that was one genius bitch move if my theory's right. Which is why I adore her so much.

    ReplyDelete

      Delete
    2. She complemented the male host for pronouncing her name right so maybe indirectly, yes, she has to make a valid point. That is probably her pet peeve and I don't blame her. A lot of other people are like that too. You have to say their name right or else it is considered, for lack of a better word, an insult. But at least the lady host apologized and she accepted the apology on air. Lea is very classy indeed.

      Delete
    3. Ok lang yan maging slight bitchy sya no! She earned it hahaha!

  27. when was this? nung time ng movie ng les mis? kasi kung ganu baka inavoid nya kumanta ng fantine songs para di sila macompare ni anne. alam nyo naman insecure ang lola anne nyo (before anyone disagrees, ive read enough interviews of anne to notice this. insecure sa maraming bagay like body image, not being called sexy, younger actresses, etc)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. na notice ko rin yan teh. kaya nga sa nagmuryot sa interview with chakang ricky lo. kasi panay singit ni ricky lo kay lea sa interview samantalang it was supposed to be anne's interview

  28. live and love! Lea is good but I am yet to watch her perform onstage in a musical that will take away the disappoinyment i had when i watched her perform Cinderella, over rated ang Cinderella cause there's nothing special in her acting there, but am sure she's very good in more serious roles in other musicals, but I still love Lea! :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. we watched lea play Cinderella here in singapore and yes, though it wasnt spectacular, i cant blame her as the musical itself is meant to be light, feel-good, so nothing so heavy for Lea to shine...but just the same, she delivered on that....we also watched her with menchu in God of Carnage here and you will be amazed that she can do comedy as well...in other words, Lea is one versatile, ultimate performer...

  29. Lea is great. She can sing anything but I`m used to hearing this particular song on a male voice.

  34. What's to dislike with her performance? Seriously FP, bakit under Like or Dislike ito? It was clean, cd quality - very Lea! She's amazing and her voice has matured somewhat which gives it greater depth, a depth she didn't really have when she was younger because her voice was so crystal clear and clean.

  35. as always FLAWLESS..... that that anne!! lol kurtis hahaha

  36. I agree, what's to dislike... it's perfect!

  39. effortless and what a flawless English not to mention the accent!!!two thumbs up for you Lea!!!!You make Filipinos proud!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. No question about it, her singing was flawless.

But did she have to be a complete bitch on national TV just because her name was mispronounced? It reminded me so much of Anne Hathaway making fun of how her name was misspelled after winning the Critics' Choice Award.

Is it so hard for people to be nice nowadays?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not for anything, there was a better way to have handled the correct pronunciation of her name (directed to her first name) and "what are you doing there?" without embarrassing the hosts who were showing how impressed and awed they were to have her as a guest and intervieweing her. The body language of the male host shows he got embarrassed.

But in a better note, she is really a very good singer. It seems she never falters.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, I felt it was kinda off too. I mean, you could always correct the hosts in one sentence. No need to ramble about another relative's similar name and all, which I'm sure no one is interested at all.

But, of course, as always, hands down ako sa voice ni Leigh-uh! :)

      Delete
    3. Right. She can't blame the host. Her name is spelled like the host said it. Lea. It's not spelled Laya.

      Delete
Kaya she can really sing. Bad hair day si Anne noong interview ni Ricky Lo pero she wasnt pissed off with Ricky mentioning Lea. She was more pissed off because of how Ricky was interviewing her.

    ReplyDelete
  42. super like......unlike that bitch anne what? hot away was it? WALA SYA SA KALINGKINGAN NI mS lEA!

  43. what is there not to like? lea is very good. - cream cadillac.

    1. korek ka jan. and besides there is no reason for anne to be insecure kay Leah nor be compared. She has proven herself in her chosen field. Both are excellent. Syempre kung maka react sa interview wagas kasi they can relate very well dahil they are also Ricky Lo themselves.

    2. And you're one good example of Filipinos who cannot think and analyze critically, and prefer to use ad hominem as an argument. Now, tell me who is a larger hindrance to the progress of our country?

LIKE siempre! :D

    1. Saan mo napuha yang 86 IQ stat? Source? What exam was used as basis? Foreign written and prepared test? Custom fit for westerners? A nation of almost 95 million people that has 94% literacy rate surely has smarter people than your 86 iq stat is showing. If we were as dumb as that figure implies, we would not be as adaptable, foreign language efficient and resilient as we are. Heck, we would not be a nation of free people. Gullible and too trusting for our own good maybe, but almost moron we are not.

  47. There was nothing wrong in what Lea said. No offense meant. None was taken either.

    ReplyDelete
  48. search about anne's attitude towards other actors and actresses online...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Bakit niyo ba pinagtatanggol si Anne Hathaway? She's not even well liked in Hollywood. Why do you think the press has labeled her Anne Hate-away? She's rude and condescending and interviewers often have bad experiences with her. Former co-stars can't stand her and despite the amiable public relationship they display for movie promos, they often don't have nice things to say about her. Even good guy Joseph Gordon Levitt has been quoted as calling her an insufferable snob.
