  5. Boy Abunda has the same sentiments when he co-hosted with Kris Aquino sa Kris TV, concern nya was, papaano nga naman kung rinetweet ang isang post, would that consider also as libel act? As usual di nakasagot si Ate Krissy...

  26. kayo naman puro freedom of expression echos. remember too that with freedom goes responsibility. unfortunately, hindi naiisip ito na iba. problema na ng mga mambabatas kung paano nila ma tra-track yung nag like or nagre-tweet. i think the law was put just to intimidate potential abusers/bashers sa cyberspace. maswerte pa tayo yan lang ang nangyari hindi katulad sa ibang bansa na they can actually shut down or close access to the web. look at the bright side, people. nasanay lang kasi ang marami na mambastos sa web and can get away with it.

  27. This admin promised Freedom of Information during the campaign period..2 years after - still no FOI, what we have is kinda the opposite - cybercrime law. Talaga nga naman. Tsk. Call me disappointed. Never again will I vote for someone with good promises but no good track record to speak of.

  28. It is utter rot and bullshit, because most epal politicians cannot take it being called idiots and total morons by citizens. **** you, we deserve better!

    ReplyDelete
  29. the danger lang kasi with this law is that you can not merely rely on an account in fb, twitter, etc to hold a person liable for committing cyberlibel, kasi andaming fake accounts..so ang paraan to verify is to 'hack' or trace the i.p. address etc. without our consent. and that is a violation of our constitutional rights.
