    3. Even if he did not write it himself, he tried to pass the speech off as his own. Had the plagarism issue not come up, would he have admitted that the words did not come from him? But since the blogger called them out, he totally puts the blame on his ghostwriters. Shows how much balls he's got --- zilch!

  3. Nakakahiya! This is not asking forgiveness but rather plain Arrogance! When you're asking sorry, you should be modest enough to admit what you did, this is in no way close to that.... People like him make the Filipinos look bad! Shameless Senator equates to shameless staff I guess!

    2. eh hindi din naman original nung Sarah yun noh, it was also an excerpt fm the book by Dr Campbell-Mcbride, pare-pareho lang silang nangopya!

    5. Hi Anonymous3:25! I don't think Sarah lifted from Dr.Mcbride's book or research. Yes the content may have been from the doctor, but the words used to profound were hers'. Otherwise she could have added "quote-unquote" in those statements. Any writer whether a blogger a columnist or even a novelist knows that! Which leads us to another point as well, Sotto thinks he actually lifted something that he 'thinks was lifted from the doctor herself'. It isn't the case!

    6. Anonymous3:25, diosko, alam mo ba pinagsasabi mo? What Sarah the blogger did was CITE McBride as a reference, but she didn't use McBride's words verbatim. She paraphrased McBride and did her own interpretation. This is exactly why the government should invest on education, so that people wouldn't come up with the kind of rubbish that you just wrote. Can't even tell the difference between plagiarism and citation.

Nkklk! I highly doubt na binasa nga nila ung work ni Dr. Campbell at iba pa.

    2. Tama look at Manny Pangilinan he graciously admitted the mistake when he was accused of plagiarism in his graduation speech at Ateneo and apologized for it and even offered to resign from the board of directors of Aateneo...hay naku Tito Sotto just admit it and apologize!

  19. Does Sarah know who is Rizal? We do. But maybe that Sarah doesn't. :S Dunno what to feel. A little indifferent. But slightly sad as well about plagiarism ... not too wise of an act ...

  20. dapat mag resign na yan chief of staff niya!

his choice of words, the content and undertone of his letter seems to come from an uneducated person.

  24. Actually when it comes to plagiarism issue, I don't see that its tito sen's kasalanan coz its his staff who prepared the talumpati. What Im seeing here is that tito sen's kasalanan is he made some iyak-iyak during his talumpati rh dba? Given the fact that hes not really the one nmn who made the talumpati. So I guess that the plagiarism issue is not his kasalanan, but the fault of his staff.

Now regarding with his patawad letter sent by his COS nmn. I've nvr seen such kahambugan apology ever pa like this. Oh my veggies. . They're so masakit sa ulo. It seems that the writer pa who did them kasalanan. Just a piece of advice for their camp -- "Humility is the susi"

  33. It is still Sotto's faults, why? kasi it came from his own mouth and deemed as his own opinion or say to the topic. May mga editor nga na per sentence ang pagchecheck sa google just to make sure na di plagiarized ang article, bat di man lang sya nanigurado.

  37. Anyone who believes that the senator should be free from blame should remember the humility of MVP when his speech writer was found to have copied from the graduation speeches of Oprah and JK Rowling. MVP resigned as the chairman of the board of Ateneo as a result of this plagiarism act performed by his staff. Although it was not MVP himself who wrote the speech, he took it upon himself to resign. That is what you call DELICADEZA.

    1. this is not the issue. the issue here is the plagiarism committed by the senator and his staff. the death of the child is not the primary issue of this article.

      Delete
    2. I am sad for Tito Sen for losing his child. However, what he said was his opinion of what PROBABLY caused his son's death. Anyhoo, plagiarism in our school can mean expulsion or failing a class. I'm just surprised that in our government it accounts to NOTHING.

  46. He has a point though, who among us read this sarah's whatever's blog? But because it got "quoted" by a popular person, we got to know that her blog exists and that they share the same opinion, that is anti-RH bill, so Sarah whoever can be the bigger man/woman and accept the apology for a better cause or she can insist her right for her ego. In any case I am pro-RH bill so they can all satisfy their bloated egos for all i care

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They do not share the same opinion. Sarah is pro-choice po. Sen. Sotto twisted the words of Sarah for his own anti-rh stance. If you quote an article or book, you should have had the decency to properly identify your sources.

    ReplyDelete
  50. hay naku, atty. tsk tsk tsk.. the sorry part could have been enough. sa sobrang dami mo pang sinabi mas nalintikan ka pa lalo...si atty naman dapat nag private message na lang muna sya. mas mukha naman tuloy siyang ewan. kesehodang sila ang nag gawa at hindi si tito sen, sa speech nya si tito sen ang nagsalita pa din. di dapat ang sinabi ni tito sen sa speech nya, ay "according to the research of my staff blah blah blah" kase hindi naman pala sya ang gumawa ng mga pinagsasabi nya eh. di ba nga , pag gagawa ng speech na para sa buong bayan bigyan naman ng effort at pag aralan hindi yung emotional part ng presentation ang pinag practisan.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Most of the senators have their secretary who do the speeches but this is an open-secret. Senators never admit this to the public.Due to this incident,Sotto had to admit that it was his secretary who did it in order for him to be guilt-free of plagiarism.

    ReplyDelete
Why can't Sotto's group own up to the deed, apologize to all the blogs copied and move on. Humility naman diyan. Its stupid to hate when being corrected. OT, ganyan pa talaga magsulat ang isang esq. walang capitalization, et al. hindi formal tingnan. kalerQUI
