    3. We have to understand Jessica's situation..

-Shin-

    3. She is an american citizen but she acknowledged that she is part filipina. Well maybe she only acknowledged her filipina roots to gain support from Filipinos. She is an american citizen so I guess thats why she doesn't know and apply the word debt of gratitude. Serves her right that she didn't win AI.

There will come a time na malamang aaralin nia ang Lupang Hinirang.. Wag naman kayong judgmental

      Delete

    1. Mga teh, let's just give them A for A-ffort. Kirby grew up in the US, and Jessica was born in the US. The mere fact na pinag-aralan ni Kirby ang Lupang Hinirang is commendable. Also, it was Pacquiao that chased Jessica since day one, so let's just be happy that she had a participation in the fight. Agree?

  11. Naku, wag mag-ampalaya mga teh. Jessica is an American. Si Jessica by blood is half-Pinoy, half-Mexican. She was not born in the Philippines and has never been in the Philippines.

  12. I don't why people are making a BIG fuss on Jessica singing the US National Anthem. While she obviously has Filipino blood in her, she was born and raised in the US. This gave her all the right in the world to sing the US National Anthem. She's not even a naturalized US Citizen. Her citizenship is based on birth like the majority of the Americans. Please don't attack her just 'cause she made a decision to sing the national anthem of her OWN country.

  13. from the beginning of AI contest, i never rooted for her and honestly I am surprised why the whole philippines was rooting for her, YOU think she is pinoy, the question is does she consider herself pinoy? hinayaan nyo na lang dapat sya at di kayo nagsayang ng pera sa pag vote, truth be told, her voice vis a vis with charice or sarah is at best the same quality but definitley not better, anyways, my point is, kayo lang ang nagiging proud na pinoy sya, eh obviously sya hindi, why will she prefer to sing the US anthem then? didnt she also refused to meet pinoys after meeting with PNOY coz me commitment daw sya? ano ba naman yung show a little thanks( kahit plastic), as i said hinayaan nyo na lang sya sa AI, as we all by now, the whites did not vote for her, anyways, she will be a flash in the pan, after the brouhaha, sa future, pls lang, pag merong pinoy na contestant, hayaan nyo sila, coz pag nanalo sila , very likely di rin kayo maaalala

She is not Filipino, she is more American than she is Filipino nor Mexican.

  23. I loved how Jessica and Kirby sang! Why all the hate? Jessica isn't pure Filipino, so why would she sing our national anthem? She's never been to the Philippines so what would she know about being Filipino besides what she probably sees from her relatives. Give her a break! First off, she did join AMERICAN idol and not our local version. if she joined here and kept promoting herself as American, then go ahead hate her.

Whether or not you like how she sang is based on preference. BUT judging if she was great or not should not be dependent on your preference but based on the preference of those the song was intended for. We don't own her so please just stop acting like she's our property.

  24. I am disappointed kasi
    1. Jessica knows how much the Filipinos supported and loved her.
    2. Jessica knows how big of a deal a Manny Pacquiao fight is to Filipinos.

  40. I really don't get why people are offended of Jessica not singing Lupang Hinirang.

First of all, she is an AMERICAN with Filipino descent.

Second of all, we're actually lucky to have her sing sa fight ng isang kababayan niya. That's the least thing she could do, since hindi naman siya Filipino Citizen.

And lastly, seriously guys, you hate her for not shouting out to her Filipino supporters?

I really don't get the hate comments. Sobrang tanga lang.

You should've voted for her TALENT and the fact na may FILIPINA siya. Hindi lang dahil FILIPINA siya. Sobrang nakakahiya. Sobra talaga.

  45. she is an american, born in america. all she did was acknowledge her filipino heritage, but can she really identify being a filipino, probably not. throughand through she is an american just like most americans who can trace their ancestry from another nation, this is whats wrong with pinoys. stop hating on the kid
