  3. nakakalokah indeed!!! is the commercial of kfc on this clip a real tv ad from the philippines or is it a parody from the jimmy kimmel show??? even me i find it weird to see a cheese on top of a bun/s... this vid is quite entertaining though. :))

  10. Nakakatawa xa. Pero intindihin nyo nmn yung whole thought. Hindi ba parang ginawa nmn tayong maxadong kahiya hiya? Parang kababuyan lang ang peg? May Fried chicken pang nasawsaw sa softdrinks tas kinain pa? Talagang OMG yun.

    3. Kababuyan to. At first sight, iisipin ba ng mga kano na parody to? Kung napanood nila ang tunay na TVC, baka isipin pa nilang parody to. But no. For those filipinos who have been part of this tvc, thanks for proving yet another fact that filipinos can be so disgusting. I work with british and americans and everytime i encourage them to go to the phils, they usually joke about filipinos, mostly our food - and surely this is another addition to the insult.

    4. Tama guys. In the first place tagalog ung commercial at wala nang ibang iintindihin ung mga banyaga kundi tumawa ng tumawa upon watching that humiliating vid.

    12. it's such a filipino thing to get this riled up about something as shallow and humorous as this. filipinos take themselves too seriously sometimes. or think that everything's about them, or taking a hit on their nationality or culture. like, just lighten up a bit.

besides, had it been another asian or a european nationality being poked fun of by kimmel, you (anyone) would've found it funny. and they would not decry it as offensive. but, noooooooooo, since kimmel decided to poke fun at something that happens to be filipino, you call foul on it. filipinos really are too sensitive most of the time, which makes it all the funnier to others.

take a cue from the japanese, indians, greeks and other such ubiquitous nationalities. embrace your quirkiness and uniqueness. own up to it. just laugh along.

      Delete
    13. Gosh! I didn't expect that this will go longer. anyway, il make this even longer for the sake of the 'open-minded' and those with 'wide sense of humor and wit'. FP, pagbigyan mo na ko.

To 8:25: I found the cheese parody really funny but the chicken soaked in coke and then was eaten? Gross. If you still laughed at that because as you put it, you have an open mind and sense of humor, so be it. I guess thats your definition of open-mindedness. But as for me and the others here, we call it kababuyan. But we dont go around and slap it at everyone's face like you do. Because we know for some, its hilarious. Disagreeing in a NICE way is fine but putting label to other people is not. And if I may, I define open-minded as being aware and accepting of the fact that all people can have a different say on things. It is not having your own take and calling people who don't share the same take as yours 'narrow-minded'. By the way, remind me again why youre in this thread? Oh! to call on the 'narrow-minded' like us to limit our ideas just in this thread? How's that of you being open-minded?

To Kiray: Oooops! I didn't know that this comments page is only for people who just watch US late night shows like you. As far as I know, I'm entitled to hit that 'Add comment' because i didnt see a caveat at FP's title. obviously your frequent watching of shows like these redefined your delineation of humorous and disgusting. Good for you!

Again, at the end of the day, we all have our own take on things. So if you want your opinion to be respected, you know what to do. Cheers and peace to all!

  30. Jimmy Kimmel is a big fan of Filipinos. It's the product that he's spoofing and not Filipinos. I think the Pinoys in the US are actually laughing at this, and who knows, the folks who wrote this piece must be Pinoys. Yung manok na sinawsaw sa Coke, parody yan to how weird the cheese on top burger is.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Everyone lighten up. Sobrang sensitive niyo naman. It's Jimmy Kimmel, that's the peg of the whole show. Humor. 1. True! He actually makes fun of himself ibang tao pa kaya? People need to loosen up, funny kaya nung spoof!!!

    2. I agree with this one. The concept of the show is to have fun by making fun of really silly things.

And just to say something about comments na "nakakahiya ang mga Pilipino" blah blah. Wake up and read people! Every country has something to say against the other. Imagine sa China nga they eat eggs boiled in urine of ten-year old and below boys. And even sa States, they themselves laugh at silly contests like fastest BRA removal. So hindi ibig sabihin na na-mention tayo, sobrang kahiya-hiya tayo.

Let's not kill our nationalism just because of a very shallow thing. Bakit ba tayo mahihiya sa kanila, if that's who we are? As long as we are not bringing any harm to anyone, we don't have to change who we are just to please other people. Dun nga natin ma-eearn yung respeto nila, kasi kahit ano pang sabihin nila sa atin, tayo mismo may respeto sa sarili.

Let them laugh. Anyway, we can laugh at their silliness din naman e. So quits lang. :)

  36. Actually i guess what KFC want with this burger was the appeal it will give to the consumers kasi diba yung thought na the food is unique and also the concept was the texture when you bite on it you will first taste the cheese so it's food innovation or pwede rin style and kumbaga sa parsley for garnish eh cheese get niyo yung thought? though for me hindi nakakaproud na ipakita tayo sa international show as that,

Hindi pa din ako agree dun sa parody commercial parang ginawa tayong stupid and katawa tawa yes siguro nga KFC made a wrong move with that but still hindi naman yata tama na gawin mo yun you can still eat it naman ng maayos eh hindi naman siya melting cheese and my cover naman siya
