Exposing Unsportsmanlike Conduct

While most universities are having difficulties finding sponsors for their sports programs, this team from a university has found a solution to this problem. The team consists of A (primary team) and B (secondary team and pool for A). Most players coming from B are encouraged by the coaching staff to have gay sponsors (GS) in exchange for more playing time and possible inclusion in A. The GS and the B players are then invited to dinner, where negotiations happen.

The GS are allowed to watch during practices for a fee ranging from 2 to 3k. If the amount cannot be raised, the coaching staff will throw out the GS from the gym. If the GS is very generous, the coaching staff gets freebies and even a monthly allowance.

The coaching staff actually encourages this culture of having a GS. Rather than provide the allowance for the players, the staff will look for a GS instead. The players coming from the provinces have no idea of such a practice so most of them get shocked when they learn that they have to go beyond sports as well.

  16. if there's an ounce of truth in this BI, it should be reported to CHED, these kids are most probably minors and that coaching staff is a pimp, it should be investigated, not by senate i hope - wala namang nangyayari sa senado

  19. How industrious lol. Are the coaching staff preparing their players to join the kapamilya station? haha! Seriously kawawa naman ung athletes. But I think the ex husband of a very well known and tactless host/endorser should know about this system, since he came from it...

ang may problema dito yung coaching staff. as long as wag pumayag mga players na "you know what" with the GS, eh di maglaway ang mga GS na yan hanggang gusto nila!

  21. should this not be brought to the attention of sports organizers? will we nurture this practice that looks at gays as cash registers? grrr..

    ReplyDelete

    1. the bigger issue here is a culture that condones, if not outright encourages, the exploitation of student-athletes while university officials look the other way. the gays can take their money and throw it elsewhere for all we care. but leave the students alone. nakakadiri.

Yan ang kultura ng mga basketball players, sa sobrang inggitan nila they use their looks to get money from GS. I am speaking from experience, bf ko is a varsity :-)

UAAP toh or NCCA

  36. di ito school ni giddy kasi provided sila ng tinolang manok na may-ari, not as lavish though as the blue and the green and now the yellow/blue owned by the mega tycoon.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Uso rin ang ganito sa DILAW! Mga professors, doctors and some students na rich ang mga GS ng mga players dun.

    ReplyDelete
  49. SO KABUHAYAN SHOWCASE PALA ANG LABANAN DITO? WILLIE REVILLAME, PCSO at EAT BULAGA ANG MGA PEG ng mga GS na toh ha! HAHAHAHA KALERQUI!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Even if wala kayo sa UAAP doesn't mean wala ng gay sponsors ang athletes niyo. The BI doesn't say anything about games but of trainings.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hahaha! Pink University... School ko 'yon, ah! :D

Sige nga, matanong nga mga may kakilalang player doon. Hahaha! :)) :))

    ReplyDelete
  58. FYI. I am from this school. I have a friend na naging player dyan and WALA SIYANG GANYAN. STOP THIS. And most of our players ay pagala gala nga lan sa campus ee.

HAHAHAHAHA!

  60. well this has been going on for quite some time already.
they say it's "normal", since a really good sports team needs a really good funding.
in this case it's from gs.
i know this guy, a varsity from a men's basketball team somewhere in u-belt, told me that some of his teammates have sg or they called it "sponki"
i don't know if having a "sponki" was influenced by the coaches or staff or just by the players themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  61. C'mon let us not be a hypocrite, almost all college varsity member are in this kind of business 10k-20k for a member of the A team of the basketball and 5k for a volleyball player. Feu, ceu, ue, ust are in one circle while ateneo and lasalle belongs to a different circle. Ask the popular tv host of a noontime show cause i can tell you he's a legend. If you have some money to burn then go, they are not easy to maintain especially if they have girlfriends. Plus if you're looking for a fresh specimen then you're in the wrong place. Sad to say but its true
