Killer Charges

In a recent project, the chosen fashion stylist of this reassurance seeking endorser charged her client 1,000,000 PhP for a three day television commercial shoot that required the endorser to be in pajamas. The poor client had no choice but to give in to the hefty asking price of this stylist because she was the only choice of the said endorser.

Do you know who this stylist is? Let me give you a clue. She shares the same name with the daughter of this heavy duty actress.

Please observe the guidelines in posting comments. If you need additional clues, I suggest that you follow micsylim on Twitter. Kindly continue to email your juicy stories to michaelsylim@gmail.com.

  1. 1,000,000???? if she's that in demand and ala-Rachel Zoe level stylist she may ask that price... or maybe the artist that demands her have a cut on the stylist's fee.

  5. KATUKAYO: "heavy duty actress". alam na! Hahaha!

STYLIST: Is this C na may kaharian who recently did a fashion spread with a gassy clothing brand na na-feature sa fashion section ng isang leading broadsheet?

  18. May kilala ako stylist who's also now a model/endorser and her fee is around 1M rin. I saw her one time at S&R i don't find her pretty! papansin mo siya dahil stylist siya ni ganito ganyan pero not her beauty/looks. she's just right. maganda lang siya pumorma and her voice sounds like a guy.

    ReplyDelete
  25. gosh, 1M. that's just too much for pj ad

    ReplyDelete
  26. P1M for her styling? Really? I checked out her multiply site, name pa lang ng site jejemon na. And if the pics posted are her finished products - juice ko! you don't have to pay P1M to get that. Just buy from Gozun or any tiangges - un na din un.

  30. daming tangang business sa pinas to pay such an amount, well its 3rd world country

    ReplyDelete
  31. kc leyk ko! leyk mo!

    ayun lang!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. ok lang to pay that amount, pero bat andaming nabubulag sa stylist na to? Ive seen better styles from fashion bloggers like kryz uy and camille coh

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  34. uy fp!!! why did you erase part of my comment!!! jejeje

    ReplyDelete
  35. i just checked on fp's mentions on twitter. thanks madoxified for 'tweeting' out loud! lol ;P dunno her though. ;P

    ReplyDelete
  36. this one i don't believe FP. mali ang source mo. the manufacturer of the brand is a "kuripot" company. meaning, they will never agree to pay 1M just for the stylist. i'm from a related industry so I should know, and the company is one of our clients. :)

    - cln

    ReplyDelete
  37. seriously, 1M? is this for real?! grabe naman KC! minsan talaga parang ang hirap sa industry, there are stylists na sobrang hirap magtrabaho just to earn the respect of people tapos may mga ganito. sigh. i really hope this is just an exaggeration.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow! I had a hard time finding out who this is. SUS DI KO NAMAN PALA KILALA!!! You don't need a stylist kung pajama din lang pala ang ipapasuot! FEELINGERA!!! BINABAWI ATA YUNG TUITION NIYA dahil according to her fb, dun siya galing sa isang mamahaling school.

Di ko siya LIKE!!! SINO BA SIYA ULIT? hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  39. Saw her tumblr!!!! And OH MY!!! She's the one who needs some serious styling.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Woah she looks like a boy!

    ReplyDelete
  41. 1M?Mmmmmm the last time I checked 249.00 pesos lang yung pajama sa department stores..oooh wait unless the pajama is embroidered with diamonds.so, ok.

    ReplyDelete
GRABE! Ibalik nya nga yan. As if.

    ReplyDelete
  43. hayz. i wonder if these stylists, muas even pay the right taxes to be charging this much. abusado much?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Gets ko na.

    Endorser = Rest Assured

Stylist = ka-name nga ng daughter ng heavy duty actress

I am surprised she commands a 1M fee di naman siya kasing sikat ng ibang stylists. Di ko nga sya kilala. Does that mean the likes of L.U. are paid more than 1M per project?

    ReplyDelete
  45. We call her mahal! kasi she reminds us of mahal the actress. I can't believe umabot ng ganon fees nya ha! As in 1M!!! Siguro nga naman, may junakis na kasi so kailangan level-up....

    ReplyDelete
  46. OMG, 1 million ang fee? Nakita ko siya with her bf in a flight back to Manila... yung girl and yung bf may angas lang nga... they were in the seats behind me, tapos I can hear them discretely snickering about other passengers and attendants, they were saying how cheap and baduy people were. Then when I read this BI, parang naisip ko, bakit sila nasa Cebu Pacific, di ba nila afford mag PAL business class?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Curious who the endorser is because she's close to a certain celeb couple (based on her Tumblr-ing effects. Multiply effects not updated!).

P1MM is OA for someone like this BI - with that amount, client could have gotten better and known stylists.

    ReplyDelete
  48. josko pangit lng niya..pero okay lng KaCi.. like ko! haha

  49. who ever believe this BI is dumb..im sure inggit lang ang nag feed sa blogger bout this BI...ang inggit ay isang sakit ng mga pinoy... no one can cure this sickness but the person itself, no wonder we're going nowhere..mas mabuti pang pagkaabalahan niyo niyo ang life niyo than to gossiped celebrities life as if u don't have skeletons in ur closet.....duhhh crab mentality at it's finest...hayyyy pinoy talaga!!!

  50. stylists are overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  51. i think she needs to earn money para masuportahan yung bf nya na maluho. may anak na ba siya? ohemgee! hindi ko kc siya like. she looks like a boy.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Just search the first name of heavy duty actress + Philippines + Stylist. Voila!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. i don't hate her but i don't leyk her. and yeah, she looks like a boy wearing a skirt. hayaan na nga sya. baka kailangan nga naman KC nyang kumayod para next time sa business class na sila sumakay ni bf.

    ReplyDelete
  54. My guess is K dahil sa clues pero sana si J. I work for an ad agency and I can honestly say that many of the self proclaimed stylists here are a sham. Most of them are just people who started out in the biz as mga feeling fashionista. They only started getting jobs because they have the right connections and before you know it, "stylist" na daw sila. Ilan lang sa kanila ang may totoong training or background in fashion/makeup/styling for photo and tv.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's not really a "useless service". Stylists are hired for their eye and taste. They know what works (and not just what looks good) -from editorial pages to commercial projects. They also act as sittings editor, guide the hair and makeup artists sometimes, collaborate with the photog and contribute to the overall look and feel of these projects.

Although I agree that 1M is quite over the top for a 3 day shoot with minimal changes, since stylists usually base their fee on the number of layouts or outfits they have to put together.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It's sad how the fee is a lot bigger than the amount of style and talent the stylist has. It says a lot about how gullible people can be.

And seriously? You get paid by a million bucks yet your online portfolio is a Multiply site? How cheap. Create a Myspace page while you're at it!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I have to agree with K - some fashion bloggers really do have great styles! Check them out Kryz Uy, Camille Co, Patricia Prieto, Tin Iglesias, Kookie Buhain, Plump Pinays and of course Laureen Uy (sister of Liz).

    ReplyDelete
  60. Grabe.... more clues please?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I know the STYLIST- K. Before she became a stylist she actually worked with the country's best and most exclusive modeling agency na ang name nag start sa letter C, owned by the two brothers whose lastname starts with E. If I remember correctly, she was fired from that previous job kasi may attitude problem sya. I guess, may problem pa din sya ah...feeling RACHEL ZOE eh..hehe

  62. dude dude.. dude looks like a lady.... or is it the other way around?

  63. Kaski Like Ko mag charge ng malaki. Pakialam nyo! :p

    ReplyDelete
Di ko sya kilala, and frankly i am not impressed. Mas impressed pa ako sa creativity ng mga fashion bloggers mentioned in the comments. Super epalacious ang fee! Ano sya rachel zoe?

    My thoughts exactly.
If you're at a level of getting paid that much to style, at least put up your own dot com.
Her multiply site doesn't even reflect someone who's a professional, let alone a stylist.

    ReplyDelete
  66. This is the stylist of the male celebrity who has been getting a lot projects lately from advertisers. I hear this is not the first time she charged a ridiculous amount. Imagine, charging a fee thrice that of a commercial director? Not even the most in demand stylist in the country charges near that rate.

I think the male celeb has also something to do with this bloated fee. Matches his bloated ego.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  68. wow, i didn't realize that being mediocre, er, talentless can actually fetch a lot of money. i guess when you wear big shades and a blazer, you can be called a stylist na. masubukan nag bukas and outfit na yan. baka kumita pa ako ng malaki.

Waaaahhh Ikaw siguro tong nasa blind item noh? hahaha. 1M for a styling job that is not even styled?

  70. tanong BAKIT WALANG CHOICE ANG CLIENT? parang may mali ata dun.

i know the girl from way back, she is actually very nice. but work wise im not bilib. if she does, WOW HA! (with matching kilay) i dont think a company who has 1m to spend on a stylist is not that stupid to give in to that crazy tf of this little girl.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Like Ko ba sya o hindi? hindi ata.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  73. i know her and i was able to work with her before. she seemed nice naman and her bf at that time was a photographer who's into frisbee. at that time she seemed ok naman, at ang alam ko minimal lang yung asking fee ng bf photographer nya tas parang libre nalang ata styling fee nya? though come to think of it, di naman sya halos nagstyle hahaha. it was for a local company's photo shoot. back then i think she mentioned she does styling for magazines like fhm, etc. that was back in 2008 or 2009 i think.

she was nice. but hey, i met her at work and she knows our company's paying her so...

the endorser is someone i met once sa cinema area ng ATC. this endorser also does "hide & seek" tuwing tanghali. ;)
