Kudos to You!

I was saddened when I read this comment that one of our readers left after reading one of the stories. She wrote:
"Haay, this blind item hit so close to home. Yep, been there, done that. :(

The mom of my daughter's classmate had the gall to go after my hubby. This is a blind item in its own right, since she is a commercial model. She's got tons of endorsements. Her hubby is a businessman as well, but is rumored to be gay.

I sooo wanted to get back at her, but I sure do know that it takes two to tango, and knowing my hubby's track record, she is not the only one to blame. And I refuse to destroy another family, the way she attempted to destroy mine. Besides, I think she has much to fear with the news of CS coming out with an expose.

Ok, I digress."
My message to this reader:

I admire you for bravely posting your comment. I know what you went through was very painful. My heart goes to women like you who have to endure such tragedies in life. I am happy that you can now talk about it freely because this means that you have overcome the test. KUDOS to you! We are all proud of you.

My best girl friend also has a similar story to tell. Her traumatic story with her former husband is one for the books. I will share it with you one of these days. As her best friend, I try my best to support her in all of her decisions. She has two little beautiful daughters and it is sad that they have to grow up without a father.

  1. Aynako, I don't know why these kind of people exist! Ladies, the saying "ang kay Juan, kay Juan and kay Pedro, kay Pedro" goes to us as well.

    I really feel sorry for (sorry for the term) "kabits".

  2. my question is why do men have affairs or flings in the first place? is it because they have just cause or are men just polygamous by nature?
    but no matter what reason, this situation is always like a dagger straight through any woman's heart. :(

  3. I admire you for not giving up on your marriage. Who in the world is this kabit model? Ang kapal!

  4. so sooo true!!! it does take two to tango, but i feel that if you are a true decent lady with good christian values and principles, and you ARE AWARE that the man you fancy is very very much married, you would stay away !!!! its sooo wrong to break a family!

  5. Mike, I also blog. I write as it is my way to cope. Things are better now, since it has been almost 2 years since the big brouhaha. I have no choice but to be strong, so my kids can emulate. I can only hope that inside, they are as strong.

    The story behind the scenes is always bigger. Will send you an email soon! No nanny and your blog is keeping me from work. Kekeke!

  9. this makes me sick. my favorite aunt went through a similar situation wherein the woman made the advances. and we suspect the pain, stress & depression are what led to her early death. people like these should burn in hell. @firstwivesclub-you're much better off without him in your life.

  10. anonymous@6:25-naku, it's not the one you're thinking of, i personally know that supermodel and she wouldn't do that! devoted wife & mom yan!!! no! no!

  11. @firstwivesclub-i commented in the Dangerous Liasons entry that your blind item deserves its own entry, and our undivided attention, and it certainly does. i know na the personalities involved in your story. and i have seen you already before on TV in connection with your business without realizing that you are the wife involved. you are a decent, respectable woman, obviously educated & articulate and that other woman does not even come close to you so i understand kung bakit hindi gagawa ng matino yon. as to your husband, well, i guess you can say he deserved what came to him. you mentioned that the woman is a commercial model that has lots of endorsements, parang hindi naman ganyan kadami, don't make people think she was such a popular model-eh no naman! don't give her too much credit! :D she wasn't even known yata until she hooked up with the businessman and i don't think they are even legally married. you are lucky you don't have to spend the rest of your life chained to a man like him.

  12. Who is the not-so-famous model?

    It always breaks my heart to read stories of families being tested because of a kabit. I grew up seeing my mom cry over and over again over my dad's extra marital affairs that is why I really really get angry with kabits.

  13. Anonymous @9:06pm - Nope, two different women. the one with the politician is circa 2009, the commercial model happened in 2007. Many more in between, before and after. Didn't get to email Mike yet, hehe.

    You are correct though. One of my friends on Twitter said the commercial model isn't as famous, but yea, still with a lot of endorsements. And you still see her on TV. I wonder what these products (the one she endorses) would say if they knew... She usually portrays the mom in family-based consumer goods. Fail ata to have a homewrecker endorse products for the home?

  15. I have a similar story. My ex-husband had several affairs and i would forgive him after each discovery with the promise that it will not happen again. After awhile, i got consumed by anger and bitterness. Finally i decided to separate with him. That was 10 years ago and all i can say is....no one deserves a life like that. I am at peace now with the decision that i made and i have become a better person and mother because i chose to love and take care of myself than continue loving someone who clearly didnt deserve me.

  16. Grabe posts like this, especially with not so famous personalities involved, keep my brain working! I don't think I have researched so much since I was in college haha! More clues naman please!

  18. From what I've read there seems to be one GLARING similarity- the HUSBANDS ARE TOOLS. Douchebags. Heels. Whatever name in the book that means horny unsatisfied toads, cheaters and opportunists. I hope none of these wives have accepted them back, hoping they will change their ways? That is so messed-up.

    FP: I live in LA and I enjoy your blog SO MUCH. Very entertaning but at the same time, responsible and sensitive. KUDOS to you. Keep it up!

  19. @firstwivesclub-oh you were talking about two women pala? kasi the flow of your story parang isa lang. anyway, that makes your husband even more of a jerk!! (sorry ha) sige will wait for the extended and more detailed version nalang! anonymous@mar229:06pm :)

  20. Why do many women put up with this? Kung hindi kinakaliwa, binubugbog. Sometimes, I am beginning to think that women subconsciously enjoy it. It's really sad.

    Agree! I'm sure there were red flags even before they married the guy but they turned a blind eye, hoping he would change. But did not.

    Sometimes ganun na nga, ayaw pa iwanan.

    Foul naman ata ya. With what you said, you're already saying that firstwivesclub deserves to be cheated on and even enjoys it. Step down from your high horse and be more considerate of other. Words can hurt, you know.

  24. Jan, it's ok. :) I've read a thousand comments from back when the news came out and I'm used to it. Besides, I think the comment was in general with wives who hold on to failed marriages.

    And no, he wasn't like that BEFORE we got married. He was actually nice and caring.

    Like I say on my blog, it is easier said than done. DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS. Plus, if you don't know the whole story, better to hold your tongue than say you are sure this and that, because you don't really know for sure, unless you were there 24/7.

    One thing IS for sure, I got my senses knocked out when it became a bigger story. O_o

    ~~~
    Mike, soon.
  25. @firstwivesclub-well said. in your case and others walang warning signs whatsoever. but some people i know meron na talaga , most others see it already but the woman chooses to make deadma, for what reasons- blinded by love, or scared to lose the boyfriend/fiance so she just takes it, who knows? it's sad.
