Disappointing Search for His Misdeeds

The price of success was the sacrifice of Pleasing Performer’s (PP) quest for love. Knowing that PP was the one responsible for their comforts, her kin made sure she was not going to fall in love with just any boy. Thus, anyone who tried to court PP had to deal with the wrath of her family. At one point, a rumored suitor exchanged blows with a family member of PP. Then, the next special person had to call it quits, and PP was heartbroken. As a professional, PP kept her heartaches to herself, but the fans felt the sadness in her performances. Meanwhile, her kin kept her close to them and made sure that the goose that lays the golden egg, so to speak, was well under their control.

However, love managed to come into the hearts of PP and Athletic Heartthrob (AH). Even if PP and AH tried to keep their relationship away from the public, their status as a couple eventually leaked out. Soon, everyone was happy for PP because AH seems to be very sincere with his intentions. While her kin showed their displeasure to the current relationship, parallel stories said that PP did actions that showed how she was asserting herself the right to have a relationship with AH.

Now, PP’s kin seems to be relaxing with PP and AH being together. Although AH has earned the support of PP’s fans because he has shown nothing but gentlemanly ways in his actions and expressed kind words towards PP and her kin, those are not the major reasons for his seeming acceptance. With resources in their hands, PP’s kin hired character investigators in an attempt to uncover the dirt of AH and his family.

The report resulted in two divergent highlights that disappointed and elated PP’s kin. On the one hand, the report indicated nothing incriminating for AH and his family. Hence, AH has an admirable family background, and PP’s kin cannot use anything against him. On the other hand, the investigation uncovered that AH’s family belongs to an old rich clan. In other words, AH comes from a well-to-family and he actually does not need to work to survive. This fact assured PP’s kin that PP will have a good future with AH in terms of material wealth, and they have nothing to worry about the wealth PP has amassed for them.

Will PP and AH end up happily ever after? As she has been working for almost her entire life, PP deserves a happy ending without the meddling of her kin.
