Looking Gross and Undaunted
But through the years, after a few and much-talked about relationships with high-profile figures, observers say that the feeling of being in the limelight with celebrities had rubbed off on MW - including being bitten by the star complex.
Of late, if angry words can kill, MW will never see the light of day. For so long, there had been a number of mean and negative stories attributed to MW and her alleged unprofessionalism. These stories range from the mundane to the most blatant coming from people who allegedly had personal encounters with her.
Recently, MW was contracted for her services for an upcoming project – a food television commercial TVC with a Veteran Actress VA and her family as endorsers. VA reportedly handpicked MW to do the job for her.
Before MW signed the contract with the company, she suggested that her friends be hired, too, to do the hair and make-up of VA and family. MW justified that she works with her friends as a team. The company reportedly could not say no to the request in deference to VA who was so professional and who charged a very reasonable talent fee for her and family.
Thus, MW signed the contract that specified her hefty fee for a one-day shoot. However, on learning that the shoot would have 2 storyboards, MW asked that she be paid double the amount. The production team was stumped. And to MW's dismay, the company put its foot down this time, saying that the amount in the contract covered 2 storyboards.
As with her previous projects, the tvc shoot with VA went and finished with MW hardly doing anything –- except, well, touched VA's collar.
Professionalism: It's NOT the job you DO, It's HOW you DO the job.”

A Great Awakening
Pretty Actor PA who was once the network's prized star was among the performers. While waiting for the show proper, the stars and the network executives were holed up together inside the tents. There each one got to exchange banter with each other. Some people took note of some observations 'though about PA and the demeanor or treatment of some people towards him.
They noticed a big difference between then and now. PA was allegedly no longer that big deal with some of his peers, and even with the network bosses. The disparity was quite obvious such that most of them were reportedly no longer treating PA as the big star that he used to be. Some even took pity on him as there were awkward moments when he had no one to talk to. His bosses, they assumed, were not as warm and engaging with him. It was just a sorry sight - and too uncomfortable for PA.
Yet PA reportedly tried hard to conceal whatever he was feeling at such a tense situation by keeping himself occupied and engaging in some small talk with just anyone. Indeed, everything was as clear as the sky.
No one can dispute that a sizable fan base has a great bearing on any star. While it can be powerful enough to bring a talentless star to stardom, it can also spell the star's doom and gloom. And accordingly, PA's greatly diminished fan base surely made the difference.
Truth hurts. No matter what they say about showbiz being shallow and superficial - thing is, credibility and reputation always rule.

Why Piolo Pascual Won't Play Gay Roles

"Siguro hindi naman ako tanga para ilagay ang sarili ko sa sitwasyon na pagtatawanan ako at pag-iisipan ako ng hindi maganda," Pascual said during a press conference for his Sunpiology Fun Run, which will happen this November 23 at the Bonifacio Global City.
"I'd rather choose what I can do para hindi ko na kailangan ng isa pang intriga para sumikat pa," he added.
Pascual had admitted of being traumatized by the backlash he received after his breakup with actress KC Concepcion two years ago, which sparked questions about the actor's sexual preference.
Pascual said he will now be more choosy when it comes to accepting projects, especially after his critically acclaimed movie "On The Job."
The award-winning actor is now finishing his latest movie, where he is paired with actress-host Toni Gonzaga, under the direction of Olivia Lamasan
"Gusto ko piliin 'yung mga trabaho na tatanggapin ko. Actually nagtaka nga ako, 'yung movie with Toni (Gonzaga) ayaw ko na kasing gumawa ng romcom (romantic-comedy) pero this one naman kasi romantic drama. And how can you say no to direk Olive Lamasan and Toni Gonzaga?" he said.
Pascual acknowledged that Star Cinema is known for producing successful romantic-comedies, such as the box-office hit, "It Takes A Man and a Woman," with John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geromimo.
But for his film with Gonzaga, he noted that they are trying "to innovate with the execution," citing, for instance, playing around with different camera angles.
"I'm thankful because at my age, Star Cinema is giving me projects na masasabi kong mainstream at nakaka-partner ko pa si Toni," said Pascual, who is already 36.

Poll: What Can You Say about Freddie Aguilar Having a 16 Year Old Girlfriend
Image courtesy of Fashion PULIS reader
Source: www.abs-cbnnews.com
The 60-year-old singer made the confirmation early this week, shortly after he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 5th Star Awards for Music.
"'Yung kasama ko, girlfriend... 'Yung girlfriend ko, ano... 16 lang siya, eh," Aguilar was quoted as saying by entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal in a report published Wednesday.
According to Aguilar, he didn't know the woman's age when he started courting her. "Nung malaman ko, sabi ko, 'Andun na, eh. Ano pa ang magagawa ko?' Aatras ka ba noon, eh na-in love na?" he said.
Asked how his girlfriend's parents reacted about their relationship, Aguilar said, "Tanggap na rin siguro. Sabi lang daw sa kanya, 'Mag-ingat ka diyan, babaero daw 'yan!'"
"Mag-iingat ako, kasi kung may magrereklamo, alam mo na, baka may magkatuwaan. Pero 'yung consent ng mga magulang, nasa akin," the veteran singer added.
With a 44-year age gap, Aguilar said he and his girlfriend have had to make adjustments for their relationship. He expressed confidence that their age difference won't become a problem in the long run.
"Actually, ang maganda sa kanya ay she's trying na bumagay sa akin. Ako naman, bumababa ako sa level niya," Aguilar said, detailing some of their shared activities.
"Halimbawa, gusto niyang mag-Jollibee, sasamahan ko siya doon. Minsan naman, gusto kong mag-fine dining, sasama naman siya sa akin. Gusto niyang mag-sine, kahit di ako mahilig mag-sine, sasamahan ko siya. Pero grupo kami," he said.
New family
As for being called a "cradle snatcher," Aguilar shrugged this off, saying it won't be the first time. The singer noted that his third wife was only 17 when they first became a couple.
"Hindi ko napigil na may nagsulat, kaya sabi ko, wala pa akong nabasa sa dictionary na ang meaning ng 'love' ay you have to look for the same age as you are. Walang nakalagay doon.
"Walang love means na dapat pareho kayo ng religion o pareho kayo ng estado o magkababayan kayo... walang ganun," Aguilar said.
The music veteran said he is ready to marry his current girlfriend, but added they wouldn't be allowed to wed at this time considering her age.
As for building a new family with his 16-year-old partner, Aguilar, said, "We're talking about having a baby. 'Yun ang pinag-usapan namin. Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Parang ang bata mo pa para magka-baby.' Sabi naman niya, 'Hindi, gusto kong magka-baby, e.' So, we're talking about it."
Aguilar already has six children.

Too Much Love to Give
The pretty BA is reportedly being envied by her peers in the network for being given all the good breaks that they can only dream of. And why not? There are many of them in the stable who are equally good and talented, yet BA seems to be singled out to be the favored one. Reportedly, apart from her present television shows, there is a movie forthcoming which will star her among the brightest stars in the industry.
BA's stardom did not come without a heavy price. Along her journey, was the accusation that she had allegedly stepped on several toes that not only hurt her image but also those of the people she once held dear. Among all things, BA was accused of playing with people's feelings to advance her interests – all of which she vehemently denied.
Unknown to most, a Big Personality BP has allegedly taken a liking at BA and secretly eyeing on her every chance he got. PP reportedly wanted her and thus had made his intentions known to her. So unlike a legit business deal, no actual proposals were laid, but more like a quiet pact they both understood - BP and BA called it a deal.
Currently, BA is untouchable. Great things are going for her - speaks a lot about how lucrative the deal is. All she has to do is work at her passion and pretend that some co-actors are special in her heart and voila – she will be smiling all the way to the bank.
Some are luckier – err, smarter than others.
