Take Home Beauties

I always enjoy reading your comments and I got so curious when I came across a comment about the two sexy stars and the foreign artist who recently staged a concert in Manila. My curiosity led me to do my own research and I found this blind item written by Ricky Lo. In his article, he mentioned that the two sexy stars were invited by this artist and his hunky band member to an exclusive after party in the five-star hotel where they were staying.

Do you know who the two take home beauties are? How about the foreign artist? Please follow micsylim on twitter to get additional clues. Kindly avoid initials when you post your comments. Continue to send your stories to michaelsylim@gmail.com. Thank you for loving Fashion PULIS.

Only in the Philippines - Part 1

These photos were sent to me by a reader. They made me laugh so hard when I saw them.

Letter from a Reader: Beware of the Price Tags

Sale Price (Yellow Tag): 169.75 PhP
Regular Price (White Tag): 89.75 Php

Sale Price (Yellow Tag): 170 PhP
Before Price (According to Yellow Tag): 339.75 PhP
Regular Price (White Tag): 249.75 PhP

Dear Fashion PULIS:

Since I sent out an email to my friends regarding the various ways of cheating by this chain of stores, I have received several feedbacks from various people, all narrating their experiences of being short-changed at by this chain. The anomalous method remains unchanged, the prices posted on the shelves for some grocery items are different from the ones in the bar codes. Buyers are often unaware that such is the case and that they are charged more for their purchases without knowing it.

When my son and I purchased ice cream from the store's supermarket, the price posted above the freezer was 185 PhP per 1/2 gallon of Nestle ice cream. At the cashier while paying for the bill, we were charged 205 PhP for the half gallon. My son complained about this, so a supervisor came and checked the posted price on top of the freezer. She went to the freezer to remove the price and directed the cashier to invalidate the first receipt and issue us a new one.

Here are the other feedbacks that I received from different people after sending the email

Feedback 1:
This was about a big amount of  more than 3,000 PhP for a single item in the receipt which said lobster. When you do your groceries, you do not bother with the long receipt and trust that the scanned items are correct. As a habit, I leave the receipt in the car and which fortunately my husband browsed through while I was driving. He asked if I really bought lobster for more than 3,000 PhP. I was so shocked and true enough it was registered in the receipt. We both went to the supermarket and complained.

To make matters worse, the supermarket did not even carry that item! Of course there was no lobster in that supermarket! It took about 3 managers to check. Thank goodness this time I kept the receipt. They could not explain how it happened especially since they don't sell the specific item.

The second incident was when I had to get a few items and there was a vegetable pack I bought registered a different amount. The cashier was not aware and so I called her attention. When she had it checked, the item came back with a lower amount.

It is really just impossible to check each item when they scan it especially if you are buying a cartload or more of groceries!

Feedback 2:
If I were not alert and conscious of the tag prices on the shelves, I would have been victimized. I refused to buy these grocery items with discrepant prices, so I shoved them away. The cash register definitely records higher prices compared to those on the tags. You really pay more to the cashier.

So the lesson is to keep an eye on the cash register for each and every item you put in your cart. Do not be complacent to think that the prices you see on the shelves will be the same when they are scanned by the cash register.

Feedback 3:
My friend narrated that she bought a mono block chair at the department store. But when the cash register punched the price at 50 PhP more than the posted price, she complained and had the item returned and then invalidated from her receipt.

Feedback 4:
My friend purchased a piece of vegetable at the supermarket, but when this item was punched by the cash register, it was 10 PhP more. She complained and then decided to return the item instead.

Feedback 5:
When my friends visited the newly opened supermarket, along with other grocery items, they got a pack of Hall's candy worth 20 PhP. When they got home, they were shocked to see on their receipt that they had been charged 200 PhP for the candy. So they returned to supermarket, demanding to have the over-charged amount refunded to them. The customer service staff refused to return the money, saying that since they used a credit card, they would have to return after so many days so that the purchase could first be cleared. After 3 hours of wrangling with customer service, yes, 3 hours, and still not being able to get their money back, my friend created a scene by shouting angrily and loudly at the staff. In order to pacify him, a staff took out 180 Php from his own pocket and gave this amount to him
.
I hope you post this on Fashion PULIS so that your many readers can be more vigilant when they do their shopping in these stores. More power to the best blog ever!

Yours truly,
Mara

I am challenging the readers of Fashion PULIS to be as creative as possible in naming this chain of stores. Comments with letters or initials of the store, taglines or slogans will not be posted. I will be waiting for your comments. =)

Letter from a Reader: Another Perspective of the Bad Father

After blogging for more than three months, this is the first time that I have received an email from a reader sharing a different perspective about a story that was featured in Fashion PULIS. I think it is just fair for me to share this version of the story with all of you. Here goes:

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I am writing you in connection to the story of The Bad Father that was featured in your blog. I hope you can give me a chance to share with your readers another side of him that many people do not know.

When he was sharing the latest updates in his life, he mentioned that the mother of his daughter made an overseas call trying to ask more money from him. Apparently, she heard on the news that he has been travelling all over the world. He told us that his entire salary from the station automatically goes to the support fund of his daughter. He is one of the highest-paid talents in the station so you can imagine the amount of money that goes to the fund. He even told us that the mother of his daughter legally cut off his daughter's ties with him. This means that in paper, he is no longer the father of their daughter but in spite of this, she still asks support money from him. When we asked him if they (mother and daughter) know about what he is going through lately, he said they don’t even have any idea, and if but they did, and I quote, "For sure, they would be happy." When he told us this, I could feel the pain and emotion in his heart. He loves his daughter very much. Not many people know that he loves photography and he has displayed one of his greatest works inside his condo, a picture of his beautiful daughter.

I am telling you this because in my heart I know that he is a good person. He is completely the opposite of the image that he projects on TV. He is the sweetest, most generous and kindest guy I have ever met. Any girl in our circle of friends would gladly take the place of his most recent ex-girlfriend’s in his heart. People who do not know him have been quick to judge him. He is going through a very rough time now and it doesn't help that people keep hitting him. He seems like one tough cookie but he is soft to the core. I just hope people see past his image on TV and see the real him.

Thanks for your time, FP.

Yours truly,
Miss C.

P.S. Parts of the letter were edited to hide the identities of the characters involved in the story.

Husband of the Year

This girl interrupted actress has been in and out of the hospital because of her drug problem. Sometime late last year, she was diagnosed by her doctor with a severe case of depression that led her to experiment with different kinds of drugs. Earlier this year, she was unconscious when her family members rushed her to the hospital. Her father even voluntarily confined himself in the same hospital in spite that he was not sick so that they will have an alibi if the press finds out about their family's presence in that hospital.

In spite of her drug problem and her alleged extra marital affair with a wealthy businessman who has been spotted with her many times in the casino, her husband still tries to save their marriage. In fact, more than a month ago, he even brought her and their kids to an island in the south for a family vacation. The weird thing was a few weeks after their trip, she backslid into drugs and was confined again in her favorite hospital because of overdose. Was she depressed this time around because her big time businessman had decided to stop seeing her? I think she already deserves a gold loyalty card from this hospital because of her frequent admittance.

After going through all of these tragic experiences with her, her husband still manages to keep up with her bipolar behavior. His family members have tried convincing him to leave her but he professed to them that he is willing to do everything possible to make things work out for them. Having said this, his undying spirit definitely makes him deserve the title "Husband of the Year".

Instead of Saying "Gay", We Should Say "Takei"

To all the readers of Fashion PULIS, from now on, instead of saying "Gay" we should just say "Takei". Watch this video and have a good laugh. Bon Weekend!

The Fictional Star

According to Wikipedia, a fiction is a story with events that are not factual, but rather, imaginary or invented by its author(s). In an attempt to revive the career of this veteran singer, the people managing her have been creating fictional stories about her and texting them anonymously to the showbiz writers and reporters. These controversial stories would often be about her alleged affairs with various high profile public servants. Although some of these stories have been picked up by newspapers, tabloids and talk shows, they have done nothing to boost her career. In my opinion, this orchestrated publicity stint is not enough to help her waning luster.

Do you know who this fictional star is? I suggest that you follow micsylim on twitter to get more clues about this singer. Kindly avoid initials when you post your comments. Please send your stories to michaelsylim@gmail.com and continue to spread the love for Fashion PULIS. Happy Weekend!

The Bad Father

This television personality refused to give financial support to his daughter who is residing overseas with her mother. He does not even give any financial assistance in spite that his daughter has a certain medical condition and requires constant therapy. There was even an incident when the daughter requested a rather expensive toy as “pasalubong” from him. Instead of buying the toy in Manila, he rang the mother overseas and requested her to buy the toy on his behalf. When he finally flew back to that country to visit some relatives, he did not even make an effort to visit his daughter. The mother tried to get in touch with him to ask for the payment of the toy but he avoided her calls and started telling people that she was stalking him. Eventually, the mother got fed up and decided to cut off any means of communication with the him because he is a bad father to their daughter.

The Bad-mouthing Host

This male television personality flew to Singapore to meet up with some agents that could help him land on a modelling or endorsement gig. In one of his meetings with a top female Singaporean agent, he was asked if he were familiar with this certain Filipina agent. In his effort to be close to the Singaporean agent, he started bad-mouthing the Filipina agent and took to it like a duck to water. Unfortunately, his tactic backfired and the Singaporean agent became very wary of him. She was turned off that this television personality was capable of ruining the agent's reputation in front of someone whom he just met for the first time. Clearly, he made an ass of himself by opening his mouth without even trying to find out if the two agents were friends or not.

Don't Bite the Hands that Feed You

The attendance during this brand’s fashion show last week was just so overwhelming that some of the big bosses had to assist in the registration and the seating of the guests. When the show was about to start, one of the bosses noticed the late arrival of this certain team. Since almost all of the seats in the front row seats were already given to the guests of the shareholders, this boss quickly approached this team, apologized and requested for a few extra minutes for his staff to add seats in the front row.

Instead of appreciating the gracious effort of this boss, the leader of the team ordered the team members to ditch the show. They walked away from the venue leaving the boss speechless and humiliated.

After the show, the boss called for a post-mortem ordering the withdrawal of their brand’s support from the company of this team who snubbed their show. It was just so ignorant for this team to insult the boss who happened to be the signatory of all the brand’s advertising placements.

Miss Talent

Many of you might have already heard about the news between this actress and her rich non-showbiz boyfriend who is the grandson of a business tycoon. What many of you do not know is that the two of them have already been living in together for some years now. It has always been an aspiration of this actress to catch a big fish and it seems like she got lucky this time around. I just hope that they will manage to have a fairy tale ending in spite that the topic of their relationship is something that the guy’s family members do not dare talk about.

Prior to the relationship of this actress with the businessman, she was known as the other woman of a super wealthy and influential celebrity. When they were still together, he would bring her along whenever he hires a band to jam with him and some friends. In one of the jamming sessions, the friends of the celebrity burst into laughter when they heard the actress telling them that the celebrity humps like rabbits. She has been acclaimed by the celebrity as one of the few women who can ever match his stamina. This is the reason why the wife of this celebrity feels insecure to her up to this day and not to this other woman who already got married overseas.

The testimony of the celebrity made us understand better why the businessman is so hooked to this actress. Apparently, her unparalleled talent sets her apart from most women who are just plain beautiful. I just hope that her talents will be sufficient enough for the two of them to live happily ever after.

Three Year Old Justin Beiber Fan Cries after Hearing that He's Gay

Lame Pick Up Lines

I used to visit my friends in Manhattan almost every year but it has been a while since I was last there. Whenever I am there, my friends would bring me to the Meatpacking District to dine in the different restaurants in that area. Some of my favorite restaurants there include Pastis, Buddakan and the Spice Market.

Last month, some celebrities from a giant network were partying in one of the restaurants in the Meatpacking District. This certain actor suddenly laid eyes on a beautiful Filipina Mestiza in her 20’s. The actor approached her and found out that she was just vacationing in New York City at that time with her friend. The actor was very interested with her but she looked rather indifferent. So he began to use lame pick up lines like “Do you know me? I think you would want to know me.” When it did not get her attention, he went on saying “I'd like give you my business card as I am well connected back home. I can hook you up with the right people for sure."

From a distance, the girl's friend sensed that she was feeling uncomfortable with the actor so she quickly moved towards them and told the actor straight to his face that her friend was not interested with him. Feeling insulted, the actor defensively replied "Don't you know who I am? I am a celebrity in the Philippines. For sure you'll have a change of heart if you find out who I am" The two girls were extremely annoyed with what they heard so they decided to ignore him. Discontented, before walking away from the them, the actor abruptly said "Who are you by the way? I don't even know you!"

In reality, the two girls were familiar with the actor. Who would not? He is one popular guy. The girl whom the actor was hitting on was just not interested with him because she found his character to be very unattractive. By the way, to answer the question of the actor regarding the identities of the two girls, they are actually daughters of billionaires from Cebu.

PFW: Eric Delos Santos, Sassa Jimenez, Jerome Salaya Ang

I had to watch this show yesterday because Eric is a good friend of mine and he always remembers to invite me to his shows. It was also very sweet of Mrs. Jimenez (the mom of Sassa), to request a friend of mine to personally email me an invite. I was hoping to meet her personally but I guess she was too busy. Let me share with you some of the highlights from the show.

I was wondering how this girl could appreciate the show with her sunglasses. I guess the lighting was too fierce so she decided to leave them on.

Oops... it was just too hard for her to enjoy the show with the sunglasses on so she eventually decided to get take them off. Joking aside, I posted this photo because I loved this model.

I call Eric the "Flowy Prince" because he is very good at flowy dresses and his office is in Prince Plaza. Haha ha! I fell in love with these pieces that I called him after the show to have them reserved for a good friend of mine.

I enjoyed the concept of Jerome's segment. It was about an ugly duckling having a sweet dream. His show even used different versions of the song "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" which I totally adored.

The mushroom-inspired skirts of Sassa were so cute. I was so intrigued as to how you can sit properly when you are wearing them at a party. =)

For Sassa's segment, she got a singer to add spice to her show. The singer did very well for her first song but I was disappointed that she did not memorize the lyrics for her second number. It bothered me that she was constantly looking at the cheat sheet in her hand while belting it out.

Congratulations to Eric, Jerome and Sassa for a very well-attended show. I apologize for the bad photos because I was seated on the side. Congratulations also to DJ Brian Cua for the music used for the segments of Eric and Sassa.

Let's Party (or Partee)!!!

After another successful night of partying, this club owner was on his way to have breakfast with some friends when he suddenly received a weird phone call at around five in the morning.  Since he was busy attending to something when his cellphone rang, a friend of his offered to answer the phone. The face of this friend turned white while he was speaking to the person on the other line so he hurriedly passed on the phone to the club owner. Before handing him the phone, he warned the club owner that the call is from a certain writer asking him for something. When the club owner answered the call, he was shocked to hear that the writer was calling him to ask if he can supply him party pills. Upset with the writer, the club owner abruptly replied “It’s five in the morning, why don’t you go to sleep!”  He was offended that the writer assumed that he carries this kind of pills since he owns a club. That's hasty generalization!

Retrospect: Fashion Bullying, a Scene from MAGKARIBAL

In a recent fashion show where VR was one of the featured designers, spies of Fashion PULIS overheard members of the audience talking about the buzz created by the Fashion Bullying, a Scene from Magkaribal story. They were discussing the reason why some of the employees of the fashion bully opted to work for VR. It was said that the main reason of their transfer was the absence of the necessary benefits like SSS in the employment package of the fashion bully. In this case, instead of taking it against VR, she should overhaul her employment package so that they will remain loyal to her. My advice to her: Stop Bullying!

Please follow me on twitter: micsylim. Kindly observe the guidelines in posting your comments. You can email your stories to michaelsylim@gmail.com. Thank you to the spies of Fashion PULIS!

Letter From a Reader: Beware of Deceptive Marketing of Insurance Company

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I am one of your avid readers. Just call me Tere and allow me to share my story about how I was fooled by Danvil Insurance in SM Megamall.

One rainy afternoon in February, I went to SM Megamall to meet up a friend. Since I was too early for our meeting, I went up to the 5th floor to walk around. While I was window shopping, a male agent approached me and asked me if I have a credit card. When I said yes, he asked me to show it to him and when I did, he told me that I was entitled to join a raffle for a chance to win a car. He also informed me that if I was willing to attend their company's 40 minute presentation, I will receive giveaways like umbrellas and throw pillows. It was raining cats and dogs outside, I forgot to bring an umbrella and I was too early for our meeting, so I accepted the invitation.

When I entered their office, he introduced me to his female colleague. She accompanied me to the reception desk, and the receptionist took note of my credit card number. She told me that before I qualify for the raffle, I have to first listen to a presentation about the company. The male agent came back and brought me inside a room where loud music was being played. I was given a blank piece of paper and information sheets to accomplish. They offered me drinks while I was busy answering the forms.

After I was done with the forms, the female agent requested me to write my future plans on the piece of blank paper. She left for a while and when she came back, she started talking about what I wrote, my future plans and the way I save money. She told me in Filipino, "Ma'am ang konti naman ng ipon mo, pano nalang kapag bigla kang mamatay, paano na ang mga mahal mo sa buhay? Mas maganda diba, kung may ipon ka, monthly mong huhulugan ng 1,800 pesos for 5 years at in 15 years ay makukuha mo na and pera mo na halos doble pa sa hinulog mo." She continued talking about the company, their different insurance policies and then she started selling their plans to me. I told her I was not interested but she kept insisting. It was almost time for me to meet my friend but she won’t let me go unless I present my credit card to her. Since I had no choice, I gave it to her, she took it to the cashier and the next thing I knew, the agents were clapping and congratulating me. I asked her why she swiped my credit card without my permission and she said the transaction could not be cancelled. Since my friend was already waiting for me at the food court, I was forced to quickly sign the papers and she gave me an umbrella before I allowing me to leave the office.

I was very bothered the whole night so the following day, I searched the company online and I found out that this company really employs deceptive marketing. After reading the different blog entries, I tried calling HSBC to cancel the transaction, the agent was very sympathetic but he told me that he can't cancel the transaction unless Danvil cancels it for me. He suggested that I file a dispute instead.

The next day was a Monday, I went to the company’s office but it was closed. I went again the following day and they were many mall goers inside the office. I was told to get a number, and when it was my turn, I told the customer service representative that I wanted to talk to the female agent. She told me that it was not possible so she called for the manager instead. The manager told me that I couldn't cancel the transaction because I already signed the papers. I told him that they won’t let me out of the office unless I gave them my credit card and they swiped my credit card without my permission. I threatened him that if he will not cancel the transaction, I will make a scene and tell all the people inside the office about what happened to me. He got shocked because I started kicking the chair and he finally agreed to cancel the transaction. He issued me a cancellation slip that said CANCELLED FROM INCEPTION and he informed me that my money would be reimbursed to my account after 45 days. When I got home, I immediately called HSBC and sent them through fax the cancellation paper from Davil. Forty five days later, I called HSBC and I was very happy when they told me that the 6,000 pesos was already reimbursed to my account.

In my opinion, the company is legal but the way they use deceptive marketing is illegal. The company also had Prudential Life attached to their name which confused me severely. If I am not mistaken, the complete name is Danvil Philippines Prudential Life, formerly known as Family First. I don't know why the SM Megamall Management tolerates this kind of deception inside their mall. I hope this story serves as a lesson to all your readers. Whatever happens, do not give your credit card to anyone if you do not agree to what he/she is trying to sell you. I think the government agency responsible for issuing permits to this company should also investigate further on this matter.

Thank you for posting my story. More power!

Sincerely yours,
Ana Teresa Kalayaan

Don't Put the Squeeze on Your Boyfriend

This female television personality is now officially engaged to a hunky businessman from a well to do family after ending her many years of relationship with another television personality. If you spot her in Greenbelt, I suggest you take special notice of the 2.6 million peso engagement ring on her finger.

After the wedding proposal, the couple started planning for the wedding. She told her fiancé that she wants to have a beach wedding in Amanpulo. When the guy’s parents first heard about this, they were a bit hesitant considering the cost and logistics, but since they want them to be happy they eventually agreed. As if an Amanpulo Wedding is not complicated enough, she suddenly changed her mind and demanded for a wedding somewhere in Europe instead. The parents were not very happy when they heard about this because they feel that the she is trying to make things difficult for their son. You cannot blame the parents for wondering if she really loves their son or is she just using him to get over her former boyfriend. Not so long ago, my friends witnessed her crying in a restaurant when she and her ex-boyfriend were arguing.

The family members of her boyfriend are very kind to her and I suggest that she should not take advantage of this. Recently, the mother of her boyfriend just gave her a 35cm Vert Anis Hermes Birkin with Ruthenium Hardware. Maybe after receiving this expensive gift, she thinks she can get away with anything she wants. Let me remind her that the brother of her boyfriend recently just got married to a beautiful commercial model who works for a magazine in Baguio and not somewhere overseas. Don’t you think a wedding in Europe is a bit over the top? To this television personality, please do not put the squeeze on him and his family members, they might end up disliking you!

Meet the Two Winners

Jason

I met up with Jason Matias, the winner of the Longchamp Contest, last night at around 11:15 PM in Chocolate Fire. He just finished his late dinner with his friend, Joseph, when I dropped by to give him his prize.

Joseph and Jason

After meeting up with Jason, I was greeted by the email of Carol Gordiel, the winner of the Longevity Bangle by VIDA, when I got home. She told me that she is currently staying in the Greenbelt area but will be flying back to Cagayan de Oro the next day so I immediately got in touch with her.

Caroline

Just right after midnight, I was already at the lobby of the Greenbelt Residences handing Caroline her Longevity Bangle by Vida. She was accompanied by her sweet husband to claim her prize but he was too camera shy.

Again, congratulations to Jason and Caroline. I am still waiting for the Kanebo gift boxes to be sent to my place before I pick the three lucky winners. Good luck to all those who sent their entries.

The Winner for the Longchamp Contest is .....

Thank you very much for participating in the Longchamp contest. I was able to receive 395 correct entries. Sorry it took some time because I had to manually encode all the names, cut them out, fold them, before dropping them in this vase.

Before I announce the winner, here are the correct answers to the contest:

1st City: Frankfurt
2nd City: Luxembourg City
3rd City: Rome
4th City: Valletta
5th City: Paris

And the winner is . . . . .

Mr. Jason A. Matias

Congratulations Jason! You will receive an email from me as to how you can claim your prize. Amazingly, it was a male reader who won the raffle. I wonder what he will do with the Longchamp Tote.

Letter from a Reader: Bride to Wed in RTW Gown Because of Missing Designer

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I've been reading your blog ever since the “fashion scam" story. I always read about the designers you feature in your blog whether it is something positive or negative. I would like to request you to publish this story of my closest friend. This friend of mine has saved for almost 10 years just for her dream wedding. Sadly she was betrayed by this designer whom she trusted to provide the gowns on her special wedding.

I will try my best to provide a detailed timeline for you and your readers to have a better picture of the story. Allow me also to post some of the emails of my friend.

December 2010
My close friend got engaged. She and her fiancé set the wedding date on May 15, 2011.

January 2011
They started booking all the wedding suppliers and started scouting for possible designer. Many designers they contacted turned them down because they say they can no longer accommodate them since their wedding date is too near.

February 2011
Through a common friend’s referral they met up with male designer A. Before the initial meeting, my friend tried searching for reviews about his work on various wedding sites. Instead of finding reviews, she found photos of him with celebrities and even came across articles about him winning a certain design competition. These bits of information made her confident that he has a name to protect so most likely she will not have any problems with him. When they met up with him, his initial quote was 120,000 Php for the gowns of the bride, the mothers and the female entourage members but since they were referred by a common friend, he offered to give them a 50% discount. They gave him 30,000 Php as an initial payment for the 60,000 Php agreed package price. He asked for an additional down payment of 10,000 Php and another 6,000 Php for the tuxedo of the groom that cost 12,000 Php. All the measurements were then taken at the groom's place and they set the first fitting on March 15. He told them not to worry and even assured them that it only takes approximately 5 days to complete a tuxedo so there is nothing to worry about.

March 2011
Before the March 15 scheduled first fitting, my friend followed up through text messages, calls and Facebook messages but received no answer from him.

April 1, 2011
With less than 2 months before the wedding date, my friend kept asking when they will get fit the gowns. A answered confidently saying "May 15 pa naman ang wedding mo." When she asked him if she can at least see the lining of the dress, he answered, "Hindi naman ganun kadali gumawa ng gown, and to be honest pang lima bride na kita." Since my friend has been bugging him almost every day, he promised that the gowns will be ready for fitting after holy week. When the family members of the groom found out about this, they were planning to pull out the unfinished gowns and file a legal case. They need the gowns as evidence since A was not able to provide a written contract and sketches which he promised to send through email.

April 26, 2011. The Monday after Holy Week.
They were able to talk to the designer. Again the he rescheduled the first fitting to May 5 considering the wedding date is on May 15. He said he wasn’t able to work during the Holy Week because he was out of town.

Here are the email updates of my friend as the wedding day approaches (in Filipino):

May 1, 2011

May 5, 2011

Delivery is this coming Saturday night daw.

sya ng marikina for my shoes.

Sana by Sunday matapos na lahat.

Super lagare pero that's his fault.

I want him to think and feel na hindi ako ganoong kabait para unawain sya palagi.

May 7, 2011
I really feel down right now. Nadeliver na nya yung gown ko just now. When I looked closer, ang dumi!

May 8, 2011
We have decided to buy RTW gowns na lang today, mahirap umasa!

We already knew about that at sabi nung guard na marami nga daw nagpupunta dun na naghahanap sa kanya. Ang ibigsabihin ba ng late ay after the wedding?

I hope magkaka peace of mind na kami pag may nabili na kaming gowns.

Thank you for posting this long story. More power to Fashion PULIS.

Yours truly,
V.J.P.
