CA has his reasons and GW might not even be aware of such. Sometime ago, things were the opposite. CA found GW attractive and even dated her, but everything was done clandestine. At that time, CA’s life revolved around partying and other activities typical young adults with do, especially if they are economically independent. They, however, could not come out in the open, as CA had been warned by his management that he cannot do anything that could affect his loveteam.
Meanwhile, Another Workmate (AW) was secretly falling for CA, who did not reciprocate her attention. As far as he was concerned, their relationship was limited to work and that’s it. Besides, AW is so far from the stature of GW, who is pretty, attractive, and articulate. Very much hurt, to the point of crying often, AW vowed to claim CA.
Allegedly, AW informed the management of CA that he’s dating GW and seeing other girls at bars frequently. The management called CA for a serious talk, which eventually boiled down to his choosing his career or coming home drunk every night with nothing. At that time, CA had to think of his family, as their house was about to be repossessed and he was the only one who raised enough money to ensure they will not lose their home. CA had to mature overnight and obviously, chose his career. The management did not stop there and told him to court AW.
As she wanted to have a career, AW decided to do drastic changes. She decided to improve her looks. She took exercise and other beauty regimens seriously. She lost weight and soon, transformed into an attractive swan. CA, following his management’s orders, woke up and realized his feelings for AW were becoming real. Soon, CA was looking at AW seriously and a future with her seemed possible.
CA knew of AW’s sleepless nights when he was with GW, and he could feel her hurt. Thus, this time, he will not do anything that could make AW uneasy, and never mind if GW is left out in the cold.
