She's Available

Female Talent (FT) is gaining a reputation among the young hunks of her network. Allegedly, the boys have been taking turns in dating FT with no serious intentions for a steady, stable relationship with her. It has come to the point that all they want is to get FT in bed. FT is attractive, which is something undeniable.

FT started to make a name for herself as one of her network’s promising talents. With her looks, she started doing commercials until she was noticed and given a break by the network. Other than her looks, she also has promise in the acting department. After one of her projects, she received positive comments on her acting and was even remarked as among those who will be an important star.

Hence, her management decided to pair her off with Male Actor (MA) to attract followers within her age range. While their loveteam showed promise, as based on the fan reception, they could not really give in to the demands of the fandom. Their reel partnership was often the subject of rumors that FT and MA could not really get along. Besides, MA had a girlfriend during the time his loveteam with FT was launched. Convincing fans was a bit difficult even after MA had allegedly broken off with his girlfriend. Thus, the management faced the reality that the love team of FT and MA was not going to soar as high as the other loveteams.

As the love team was troubled, FT and MA seemed to have kept their relationship at a professional level. Now, according to the grapevine, FT is a favorite of the more senior male talents of the network. For instance, Versatile Performer (VP) and Rediscovered Talent (RT), who are close friends, are among the frequent callers of FT. VP is known for his range of talents, from dancing to acting, he can be impressive. Similarly, RT has finally found his form in acting. After years of being in the network, RT was able to show his fans that he was not just a talentless hunk, as he could act and still attract viewership.

The question is if this reputation of FT affected the way MA is seeing her. Despite the clamor of their followers to make their relationship real, MA is not receptive to the idea. However, FT has also been rumored to being seen visiting the home of MA and leaving after long hours.

Letter from a Reader: Destiny Made Me Talk to My Crush

Dear Fashion Pulis,

I am a sophomore student in a private Catholic school in Manila. And just like any other girl, I cannot resist the charms of a basketball player. I’ve liked him since the day I first saw him play in the NCAA. And then one day, destiny led me to him. It all happened in the most humid day of the year. I was riding the LRT on my way to our school. I was standing near the door at the female area when I saw a familiar face waiting to enter the same train I was riding.

While walking towards the exit, I am also pulling a mirror to see if I look presentable, but my powder rolled over the floor. Already embarrassed that I might be making a scene, he picked up the powder, handed it to me and asked, “sayo ba to?”. I was so embarrassed and kinikilig at the same that I said “Yes, good luck sa training mo mamaya.” What?! Stalker alert!!

He grabbed my left hand; his palm touched the back of mine, as he said while laughing, “Una na ako”. “Thank you, ingat ka” was all I could say. I still have the powder and mirror that lead me to finally talk to him. And here I am with no plans of disposing the powder he single-handedly touched.
