Almost all of the female hosts of this television show are not in good terms with this certain male host. He feels like he is the star of the show. He uses a very annoying tone of voice whenever he speaks to them. He belittles their opinions and suggestions and even makes offensive remarks when he hears something that he does not agree with.

A couple months prior to the departure of this female host from their show, she was already not in speaking terms with this male host. This started when the male host said something nasty about her and her husband. Well, I guess these girls don't have to put up with him for long because the show has been consistently receiving low ratings.

Letter From a Reader: My Mobile Number is Being Used by Another Person

Dear Fashion PULIS,

This certain Telecommunications company allowed my cell number (since 2004) to be used by an another person.

This all started 2 weeks ago when I was getting unknown texts addressed to a certain Jen - and upon my inquiry, they are saying this Jen person is using a number same as mine. I already had my SIM changed last week thinking the problem will go away. But still I continue to get this Jen's texts, but to a lesser degree. At the back of my mind I was thinking, if this Jen person was able to text these people using my number, surely she can make calls too. And true enough, this month's bill was proof of that. Good thing I saved some of the unknown texts' numbers and compared it to my bill. Shocking. These unknown numbers appeared on my bill. From my usual P5000 bill it became P8000++ . The bulk of my bill went to the long calls this Jen made to other networks (2-3 hour calls). There was one particular number my phone supposedly called - total calls to this one number alone was over P3000.

As I write this, I'm on the phone with a the customer representative and they agreed to adjust/lower my bill by P2000, then plus the rewards points that I converted into rebates should lower my bill significantly. Also, I was able to get a hold of this Jen's sister just now (from one of the text numbers I investigated) and she assured me that Jen finally changed her number 2 weeks ago. The sister apologized profusely and offered to pay my bill but since I'm a nice guy - I decided to let it pass. What concerns me is that this telecommunications company has done a really sloppy job on phone security. I will still have to wait for next month's bill to see if it would go back to a normal amount. In fairness, the customer and technical service were polite and tried their best to appease me.

I pray this doesn't happen to you.

The Greatest Performance

Last week, this female television host/singer shared the stage with some up and coming male talents on this variety show. Prior to their actual performance, she refused to attend their scheduled rehearsal because she feels that these newbies are not worthy of her precious time. She even told the production team not to worry about it because she will be able to pull it off on the day of the performance for sure. 

In her attempt to outperform the boys during the actual performance, she started doing all sorts of ad-lib to make her stand out. The guys were clueless as to what she was singing. The production number was a total mess. It seemed more like she was doing the greatest solo performance of her life with the poor boys as her back-up singers. I guess this was her plan from the very beginning.

A 2.5 Million Peso FAKE Hermes Crocodile Birkin

This Hermes Fuchsia Crocodile Birkin looks genuine to the untrained eye. Since it would be next to impossible to get something like this from the Hermes store, a collector bought this from an online bag reseller (begins with the letter L) for 2.5 million pesos. She almost had a heart attack when an Hermes aficionado told her that this bag was fake. 

Here are some pointers on how to spot a fake Hermes Bag:

• Study the hardware. Hermes bags have a covering to protect the hardware, which the store does not remove until you purchase the bag. The hardware is solid, not hollow. The logo, a carriage and horse, is engraved on the hardware. Hermes engraving means the letters or design is lower than the surface, not raised above the surface. 
• Examine the stitching. An authentic bag will have straight, even stitches and no loose threads. Also, the thread will match the bag, a sign that Hermes bags are quality workmanship. 
• Look at the front face of the bag. The name "Hermes Paris, Made in France" is always stamped on the front face. 
• Look for the date the bag was manufactured. The artisan's mark and the year the bag was manufactured are stamped beneath the right belt. 
• Check the inside of the bag. Hermes bags do not have a metal nameplate. Also, examine the leather carefully. Hermes bags are made of the finest leather. It will not have defects. 
• To understand the quality and workmanship of a Hermes bag, go to a Hermes boutique and examine the handbags. Look at the quality of the lining, feel the purity of the leather, and pay attention to the elegant, understated details. Once you have seen an authentic bag, you will be able to spot a fake Hermes.

The Manager's Pet

The career of this actor slowed down after he finished his stint on this television show. Since he was not getting enough projects since then, he moved to the house of his manager and lived there. It has almost been four years and he still stays with his manager.

In fairness to this manager, he has been very generous to this actor. He takes care of the actor's needs and wants. One of his cars is reserved for the exclusive use of this actor. He even used his own resources to produce a film to help revive the actor's career.  

Now that this actor has regained his popularity, I just hope that he does not leave his manger. Can you identify who he is based on the clues?

Don't Reveal Your Age

Are the type of person who would like about your age? In show business, most actors don't reveal their real age. In fact it is already a common practice for them to subtract three to five years from their biological age depending on their looks.

Last week, when a reporter asked this actor about his age, he told him that he will be celebrating his 30 birthday later this year. This actor might have forgotten that the same reporter asked for his age a few years ago and he also told him that  he was 30. I guessed he stopped counting when he reached that age.

Do you know who this actor is? According to Wikipedia, he will be turning 32 years old later this year. I did my own research and I was able to find out that he is already between 36 to 37 years old.

Letter from a Reader: A Cockroach in My Drink

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I am sending you this photo to inform you and your readers that you have to pay attention to what you eat or drink. I have already consumed more than half of the drink when I noticed that there was a cockroach in my drink. It was really very disgusting! I literally felt like throwing up when I saw it. 

To make things worse, when I complained to the lady at the counter, she simply ignored me. Although I believe that they had nothing to do with the insect in my drink, the least she could have done was to apologize and offer to replace it. 

Anyway, my objective for sending this photo is to warn you guys to be more careful when you are eating or drinking something. Sometime when we are having a good time with our friends we tend to talk too much and not pay attention to what we put in our mouth.
