I don't think k Ateneo can get away from the drowning incident. It will remain as a permanent stain. As long as the memories of Rene B linger, the name Ateneo stays as the reason why he no longer exists. Regardless if the case is dismissed, the seed of doubt towards what really happened is already planted. Pinoys will always see it as a case of injustice because the victim came from a poor family. Even the athletes that were with him when he drowned, they too will carry the burden.
