I am a musical and stage play fanatic, excited for the notebook, but few days ago heard morisette would play the lead, it was a 360 turn, morisette has a good voice, she may have a theater background (she played several roles before locally) but when I heard her sing live at an event, it was not so good, though she mentioned that she was sick, however I don't think it is an excuse, the company who hired her paid her to perform, the best thing you can do is take care of your voice days before an event its what performers do.
as a singer her voice is not distinct, its just one of those who belts out, she doesn't possess a voice like KZ, Zsa Zsa, Lani, Leah, when you hear their voice its just them who has that voice.
its good that she can sustain power in belting but listening to her that night was not a performance (though she sang a little late program was very late too) she can't even give a fake smile, even if you're sick as an artist people paid you, give them their moneys worth and time too.
