Imee’s claim about BBM is less about truth and more about politics. Obvious na may matagal nang selosan, rivalry, at power struggle sa loob ng pamilya. This is classic political maneuvering, lalo na ngayon na hindi na sumusunod si BBM sa estilo nila Imee at ng mga Duterte. For years, Imee aligned herself with Duterte style politics, aggressive, vindictive, and always looking for an enemy to attack. She expected BBM to be like her, or at least controllable. She was wrong. BBM chose a more diplomatic and calmer approach, something very different from the vicious style she is used to. Doon pa lang, nag clash na sila. Kaya itong paglabas niya ng personal na kwento is not revelation but strategy. Sa politika, luma at gasgas na taktika ito, revive old rumors and weaponize them kapag hindi mo na kontrolado ang tao. That does not prove guilt. It only proves motive. At kahit pa sabihin natin na BBM, like many children of the rich and powerful, had youthful mistakes, that is part of the past. Ang mahalaga ngayon ay kung paano siya nag mature, nagbago, at kung paano siya namumuno. People grow. People evolve. Hindi Ang malinaw dito, even during Marcos Sr’s time, BBM was known as unassuming, mabait, and hindi arogante.
