    2. Hello Cebu City LGU CENRO! Bakit ninyo pinayagan ang ganitong projects?

  5. The DENR trying to wash its hands on this impunity. In the first place, why did you give the clearance to build such a massive residential project on a public domain? It’s similar to the ones in Chocolate Hills, Bohol. Good thing, the people there were quick to call out the DENR

  6. Bukod sa hindi dapat toh nabigyan ng permit, hindi na din dapat toh tinuloy ng latest engineer which is sa Slater. This has been rejected couple of times na

  10. You're all full of bs. You all got paid to make it happened in the first place. Not everyone would believe in your statement.

  11. One of the worst national agencies ito. Pinapalusot nila ang mga illegal logging, mining and destruction of mountains.

    ReplyDelete
  12. it's a little too late.

Kadiri kayo. Sana may managot

  14. Yeah after magka issue ng malala saka lang gagalaw

    2. Someone already answered this yesterday. Is housing scarce in Cebu? Is there high demand? You shaved off a mountain just to satisfy the whims of people who are out of touch. That is a luxury, not a necessity. Even in developed countries, when there is a demand for housing, they do not expand horizontally. They build vertically. The proper solution is to reclassify low-density residential zones into high-density areas, not to cut down forests or flatten mountains.

Any private development that will cause damage to the public should not be approved if they do not prioritize creating solutions to the possible problems it may cause. If you want to shave off a mountain and clear forests just for your project, you should first build floodgates or any infrastructure that can withstand the worst possible disaster your project might cause. They even secured permits and started building the saleable structures before creating flood controls in the affected areas.

Why? Because private companies will not spend for that. Then they will petition the government to build the flood control infrastructure, diversion roads and whatever else they need. They will approach politicians and use their connections. They avoid spending their own money because it is again the public who will pay for their luxuries. That is systematic corruption.

The government involved and the people behind this project and other similar projects should be held accountable.

This is a wake up call.

    4. True 2:07. Inspired by Banawe Rice Terraces nga daw. So expected papatagin ang bundok.

    5. Like 1.54 said- that development is luxury housing its not a land development to cater for piblic housing demand. Just imagine the cost to rip off that mountain and build roads etc. anything that would destroy and cause damage to environment shouldnt be allowed no matter what. And it makes a lot of sense, vertical structures should cater to demnds if really there are no more land available but is it really the case? Dun sa taga Cebu na ayaw sila pakialaman your just one idi8t person who think that way- we will keep voicing out our dismay because we care more for the rest of people in Cebu especially those affected and real victims of corrupt government.

    1. I heard marami na nakabili. Especially yung monterrazas de cebu. Almost sold out na

  19. Bumaha din sa baba nyan when they started the project, which never happened before.

    ReplyDelete
  20. So dapat talaga may mamamatay muna?

    ReplyDelete
  22. 2 things that came out - may violations ang project OR wala. I bet even if the investigation shows na walang na violate ipapako pa rin sa krus si Slater Young. Tapos DENR will be accused of kumampi sa mayaman or nabayaran, etc.

TAMA BA na kalbuhin at tapyasin ang bundok, to benefit a few (developer, few residents) ???

How can a mountain, owned by the public (through government management) be now owned by just a few, dahil nag agree ang government to sell it to private entity for development

    ReplyDelete
  24. hindi man sya cause ng flooding now
very sure, it will pose a problem im the future

which is what is happenning elsewhere, like Rizal, dahil pinayagan development sa higher land, waala problem dati, but now puro flash flood na

May namatay bang govt officials? Or rich people? Hmmm wala

  26. If you read the details of the memo, ang gagawin lang ng DENR is enforce correction actions if the project had violations. It doesn't mean they will stop the development. Andyan na yan. Na develop na ang area. May mga bahay na. Seems DENR decided to investigate just to appease ang madaming reklamo sa socmed. Kasi DENR ang nagmumukhang masama.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Petiks lang DENR? Too late for this. Dapat kayo rin sasagot sa nangyari!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hay DENR, what have you done before this project was started?

Yan suffer the consequences. Kawawa ang mga inocenteng nadamay.

  35. imbestigahan na nman yan tas patatagalin ang proseso habang ang sakit sa puso ng mga namatayan asawa magulang at mga anak dadalhin habang buhay sila. it is so frustrating that our government can't convict those who are guilty. mga hinayupak talaga dapat papanagutin yan bakit walang tagatugis para sa mga biktima smh
