Haha hindi po ALTA ang Oxford😄 it was ok but not alta. Prestigious yes but which Oxford though? 2 kasi ang Uni ng Oxford dto one for everyone and one for matalino not for money din kasi same lang payment lahat ng Uni dto eh.
Oxford University is not just ‘ok’ lang. It is always in the top 10 in the world just like Cambridge & Harvard! Has produced prime ministers & Nobel Prize winners. It has very low acceptance rate & It’s also not free unless you’re on scholarship. (My son’s friends went there). UK gives student grants & loans to any university, not free. In 2011, it cost $37,000 per year for non UK citizens to attend Oxford. And a lot of it’s students are aristocrats or very wealthy, mostly graduates of exclusive boarding schools.
i dont think julia supports erich. claudia and leon have a deadbeat dad who doesnt give any financial support so julia had to step up and help marjorie. erich on the other hand, has a very supportive and financially well off dad
But this is a different ball game kase pang-younger age kay Erich. Una need mo ng money dyan. Second, dapat kaya mo makipag-sabayan sa recitation, group work and discussions. So you cannot underestimate yong mga nakakapasok sa ganito because need pa din ng utak and gift of Gab so you can finish such courses/classes.
Professor ko dati ang dad niya. Matalino at lawyer pa . Nasa genes niya and of course may mga tutor pa since birth . Plus yumaman ang dad because of Politics kaya all set in life na ang anak.
@anon 1:15 - Yes. Middle school is grade 6 to 8, basically 11 to 14 years old. It sets the ground for their HS na parang halos college na sa atin, grades 9 to 12.
Even if you come from a moneyed-family ( a well-off parent/Dad who can send you to any school you want), but do not have the heart, the drive, the grit to learn and work on your dream, you will go nowhere. Congratulations, Erich! and happy for the proud Mom.
Even for special and short courses, an enrollee is considered student of the school kase nagbayad and program ng school yong in-attend-an. Bakit ba ayaw nyo tanggapin? Mga inggitera talaga kayo. Need nyo talaga hanapan ng mali or butas para mang-down kayo ng accomplishment ng tao. Hayy people!
I don’t think schools like Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, etc would accept anyone for their summer programs even if one has lots of money. They still have to apply with their credentials. When my son was in middle school & high school, he would get invites from those schools to enroll in their summer & honors programs. They got his name from the SAT & PSAT organization based on test scores & grades, etc.
Ok si Marjorie as a mom. Sabi nga, we can't have it all (I've always seen her as the prettiest among the Barretto sisters, lalo na nung active pa sya sa showbiz).

She’s not an oxford student per se
