Seguro kasi iba rin ang system ng sobrang focused at alalay na treatment ng mga doctors at nurses ko (oncologist, hematologist, etc.) at may dedicated rin ako na cancer nurse at mental health counselling nurse. All my medicines - lahat ng kailangan ko, andiyan rin - from hormone suppresants, to allergy meds, to fatigue meds, they are there i also have access to specialists at monitored ang blood chemistry, bp at cancer cells ko daily. If I need transfusions or infusions, on time rin based on what my body needs. Minsan, I feel na para na akong medicine jar - but I still live my life, I still am able to do what I used to - even work. Alam ko na nangyayari ito dahil sa access ko sa gamot at experts at may chance na magremission ako dahil dito. Pero alam ko rin na mahal siya at hindi lahat may kakayahan ng maaccess ang ganitong gamutan.
Ang advise sa akin ng oncologist ko, patatatagin dapat ang immune system simula bata. Sakitin ako nung bata at may long term effect pala ang weak immune system. So sa mga ka FP, para sa sarili niyo at mga mahal niyo sa buhay, alalahanin ang pagpapatatag ng immune system. It is our first defense and last. Live healthy. Not a nurse but my spouse has an auto-immune condition, also taking an immuno-suppresant. She has 5 afaik. The immunsupresant is essentially to tame your overactive immune system attacking itself. At least that's what my spouse's doctor explained. Maybe the isolation is just to make sure she's safe from the outside elements that could further weaken her body. The thing abt auto-immune conditions is they don't usually go away. There aren't known reasons for their causes... getting healed is a miracle
I don’t think so. I have an auto immune disease, but I’m starting with prednisone for now. Once it’s confirmed that it’s an autoimmune disorder, the doctor will make me take an immunosuppressant to address the kind of auto immune disease that I have, which in turn will lower my immune system. That means that if possible, isolate yourself to avoid getting sick. And that’s what Kris is going to do. We don’t know what meds they gave her so we really don’t know why the isolation should be six months.
