ReplyDeleteMost of the time in the past, pag nakakalas ang loveteam dahil nag-break (real) or na-pair sa iba (reel), naiiwan or bumabagal ang pag-usad ng career ng guy at ang mga babae ang mas umaalagwa. Siguro after years of pairing where possibly na-limit din ang storylines at acting range ng both parties, mas nagagamit ng girl yung heartbreak para mas makahugot ng emosyon. Usually mas nagiging daring, mas challenging na ang mga nagiging tema ng projects and endorsements. Nagma-mature tapos bukod din sa sympathy card, nag-go-glow up pa as if declaring na ready na syang ma-pair sa iba. Yung guy naman usually, either mananahimik or mag-semi hiatus muna or mag venture into other things (especially pag sya yung mas may nega issue that caused the break up of the loveteam), tapos saka babalik. Nakakabalik at nakaka-ahon naman madalas ang mga loveteams after an “unpairing” happens, kapag may angking talent. Yan pa rin naman ang magpapa-tagal sa kanila in the biz.
ReplyDeleteAkala ko nung una Daniel will stay long in that similar path na mag-semi hiatus, but I think his being silent for a while and then come back with a project of a different genre that also did not need him to be paired with anyone, was a good move. It also laid the groundwork for people to start focusing more on his body of work than his personal life.
Incognito also gave him the chance to show other aspects of his acting capabilities in the areas of action and drama (though he is good na talaga sa drama esp sa Hows of Us and sa romcom like Too Good To Be True, to be fair). It also helped na he is a lot more pleasant to talk to now in interviews.
