Truly heartbreaking. He was at Ate Guy’s wake pa and then sa tribute sa Malacanang. Loved reading sa FB admin of his mom , Celia Diaz Laurel about his two paintings na life size ni Nora. He gave the second one to Lotlot and di na nga nakita ni Nora. Yung first one may nakakatuwang story na pinagmulan ng tampo ni Ate Guy. Cocoy borrowed the painting for his art exhibit. Ayaw pahiram ni Ate Guy at first at worried siya baka may di magandang mangyari sa portrait niya. Ate Guy was justified sa pag worry niya dahil na damage yung painting sa nose part sa pag move nito sa location nung exhibit. Ate Guy was furious and told Cocoy dahil sa nangyari “ Hinding hindi na tayo kakanta ng Lolipops and Roses!’ Matagal niyang di binati si Cocoy and it took a while for him to repair the painting since it needed some special type of paint to repair the damage.
First time ko marinig ito so I did a quick search and found this:
A variation on rest in peace, rest in power is used, especially in Black and LGBTQ communities, to commemorate a person whose death is considered unjust or wrongful. In this way, rest in power is a call to continue the struggle for social justice and as a show of solidarity.
Rest in power is also used to pay respect to a person, especially a person of color, who made a difference in the lives of minority communities. It is sometimes used to note the death of a person felt to have died too soon or senselessly, or a person who was influential or meaningful to people more generally.
12:11 thanks for the info. In short, wala sa hulog un rest in power ni 9:55. Kasi di naman swak sa meaning ng rest in power dahil di naman wrongful death etc.
Dami kasing pauso without really knowing what they're using or referring to. Kakahiya lang. RIP is nothing but rest in peace bakit pinapagulo niyo pa
Eternal rest grant unto Cocoy, oh Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the departed, through the Divine Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
@4:58 True. Tapos when you try to correct them politely, sila pa naiinis and would come up with excuses for such word/words. I've seen a lot of those comments, magamit lang yung term or word kahit di inalam meaning.
He was my childhood crush... I was only ten but I already had an eye for a perfect gentleman. Lollipops and Roses is one of my favorites. Rest in peace together with Nora. I am heartbroken.
Even though hirap na siyang maglakad at magsalita, dinalaw pa rin niya si Nora sa burol at nagbigay ng painting. Very talented artist and humble. You will be missed.
Oh my.... this one hurts. Right after Nora.. I am so sad.
