All these just for what? Bragging rights?

    1. I mean let’s be honest. Ano ba dapat Gawin sa Mt. Everest? Kung ako man maka akyat successfully, I’d be bragging about it as well because that meant years of training and experience and pinuhunan diyan

    2. baka kasi accomplishment yan for mountaineers. of course hindi maiintindihan ng ibang mamamayan where they're coming from, lalo na't kanya-kanya tayong passion at hugot sa buhay. basahin mo blog kay Romi Garduce, hindi yun bragging rights, bagkus it taught him humility

    4. Kasi noong umakyat si Romy Garduce naging national News sya at madaming naki proud to be Filipino. So dami din na engganyo umakyat for the taste of validation and spotlight. Pang humble brag ba.

    5. Mas naging strict na nga this year. Sadyang marami talagang gusto umakyat.

    6. 10:52 AM nabasa nyo din ba mabuti posts ng wife ni Ric, "It was a story of resilience, humility, and heart." at tska dekada na din ang lumipas since may pinoy ulit na naabot ang summit ng Mt. Everest, nadagdag na ngayon as we speak si Jeno & Miguel.

    1. True. Kebs kung may madedz along the journey kasi alam naman nila yung pinasok nila. Labas na tayo dun. Pero wag naman sana magkalat. Yun lang ang concern ko.

  4. This isn’t about true achievement, it’s about privilege and bragging rights lang. These people have locals carry their heavy gears and put their lives on the line para dalin sila sa taas.

Also - Mt. Everest is now called "the world’s tallest garbage dump" bc it's littered with waste left behind by these climbers!

The whole pursuit feel selfish, irresponsible, and harmful to both the environment and the locals there.

    1. Laki ng bayad each climber so the mountain is far from closing down to hikers. Kahit na ang dami namamatay. Kumbaga once you signed up for everest, expect nyo na 50% na lang ang chance na makabalik kayo. Their families know that. Congrats to the Pinoys who summitted! Proud of you guys from a fellow hiker here.

    2. Sherpas need this work kasi yan ang livelihood nila. It will cost you millions of pesos and thousands of dollars. Ang Nepal dapat ang dapat mag regulate ng laws nila regarding mountaineering kasi anyone who can pay for it can do it. Sa laki ng bayad every person na umakyat dyan, Nepali government should do their diligence. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    3. As long as may willing magbayad para umakyat at magdala ng mga gamit nila, hindi yan titigil.

  5. 11:35, kanya kanya tayong wants and needs noong nagka MK bag ka why all of sudden you want a high end na Hermes ? human has a never ending desire habang nabubuhay to fulfill their needs. Kung yun ang passion ng mga athletang mountaineers, yes I called them athletes dahil hindi biro yung dedication at practice nila to even attempt to climb Everest, you need to be mentally, physically fit and financially stable at may back up plan sa family mo dahil you spend your time away from your family for months and like I said kanya kanya tayong trip when you acquire a mercedes suddenly sa isip mo maybe if I work hard more I can acquire a Bugatti, it is all about desires and passions and acquisition. After that what? About the garbage in Everest that is a mismanagement ng Nepal, just like your government, mga pulpol. Tourism EVERYWHERE has its fit falls, lotsa garbage and destruction of environment if mismanaged.

    2. 7:43 every activity has risk including just merely walking downtown, your risk of getting shot, run over or mugged. Hindi naisip nila yesterday that they want to climb Everest they can do it right away. they are away from their family a lot while they are trying the lesser mountains to test themselves if they are worthy of Everest, some gather sponsors to help them out, everybody is aware of the risk and possible outcomes chasing their dreams, kanya kanyang trip lang yan and everything has a risk kahit pagsakay mo sa motor sa kalye has a risk. I personally questioned people why they ride a motorcycle sa kalye or ride an ATV for thrill and forbid my family to ride or buy one, but do I question and judge other people who does, no ! like i said kanya kanyang trip lang yan.

  6. Ehem.. pitfalls. Congratulations sa 3 Pinoy who successfully summit Mount Everest Your victory is my victory too as kababayan dahil di kaya ng budget at katawan ko yan pang Ranier, Hood at Shasta lang level ko. To anyone questioning the use of Sherpa and guide, dear that is part of what you pay for your expedition because for the 2 weeks or so you have to bring your food, shelter and gears while navigating the weather and altitude that you are not used to na akala nyo kaya ng 1 backpack lang😀 dahil walang tindahan sa bundok pabile poooo.
