That is scary. I hope it has not metastasized yet. Melanoma is very aggresive. I once took care of a somebody who suffered pancreatic and liver cancer mets from a melanoma on her back, she was only on hers 30s when she died. Ladies and gents, stay away from the sun as much as possible or wear strong sunscreens. Also, if you have irregularly shaped moles which look like theyre getting bigger and has been changing colors, get it checked right away.
Totoo yan! Maraming type ng skin cancer, pero ang ayaw mong makuha is melanoma because that is so deadly. May mom and dad both had skin cancer, magkakaibang types. My mom got the mildest form of it - basal cell carcinoma, to think na takot na takot yun sa araw dahil ayaw niya mangitim! It's caused by accumulated sun exposure through the years kaya nagmanifest na lang now in her 60s. Basta may mole ka na lumalaki at nagdudugo tapos gumagaling then after a while dudugo ulit, yun na!
Exactly, my patient was barely mid 30s when I took care of her. She's got ascites and she was having difficulty of breathing because of that. She was in so much pain. Anyway, what killed her is not the skin cancer itself but the metastases. Pancreatic and liver cancer are pretty aggressive. Pancreatic CA has a life expectancy of 3mos only. It can also be very painful.
After the surgery did she had her pet scan? To see if kumalat ang cancer. My mom had that too Tinaggal ng doctor yung mole and the pet scan. thank God negative mama ko. always remember girls and boys important t9'wear sun screen pag umaalis wag masydo ma expose sa sun. Maagapan pa yan Kay dayanara for sure marami gumagaling diyan pag hinde pa ganun ka lala.
Tapos it's itchy dIt gets bigger. Ayun pinatanggal niya lumabas sa test its cancerous but not in something na ikatakot but after 3 yrs of operation Nag pa executive check up mom ko recently nakita sa test ng mom ko that she had her mole remove and nakita sa results may cancer ayun sa sobrang strict ng new doctor ng mom ko she had pet scan full body to see if kumalat yung cancer sa katawan after the operation she had 3 years ago. Thank god she's clear. Kaya sabi ng doctor if may mole kayo nakita sa body niyo don't wait for it lumala pa check niyo na agad. If sabi ng doctor tanggalin pa remove niyo na agad. May mga gamot para diyan if hinde pa malala. Take care of your health. Sabi din ng doctor always put sunscreen.
@2:14: Most likely her moles are moles only. At age 80, I think it is safe to say, okay siya. What scary is Dayanara's melanoma. She is young and aggressive yung cancer niya dahil it metastasized to her lymph nodes. That is bad. Hopefully the spread of the disease is not so bad. Melanoma of the skin is scary - it can metastasize in an aggressive way internally; basal cell carcinoma of the skin is not so bad.
Ignorance is bliss, but yours is not. Some cancers are genetic including skin cancer. No matter how much sunscreen you wear and am pretty sure she does wear them.
Skin cancer susceptibility is genetic, hindi yung mismong cancer. Race can affect your chances. The melanin (pigment) that colors your skin is your protection vs UV rays. The lighter your skin color, the less melanin you have, lesser protection vs UV rays. In short, the darker the color, the lesser chance of having skin cancer. When we tan, that is our body's way of producing more melanin so the skin gets protected. However, ang mga mestizo at tisay some of them dont tan at all namumula lang. That means hindi sila ganun ka protektado from the harmful rays of the sun and that predisposes them to having abnormal skin cells thus the skin cancer.
Grabe ka naman. Edi if you have spare money for sunscreen buy it. Marami kasi na kayang kaya naman bumili but they deem sunscreen as something unnecessary. 7:05
aww.this is sad.God bless her
ReplyDeleteHoping and praying she recovers
ReplyDeleteI hope she gets well. Praying for Yari.

DeleteOMG! Poor woman. Caused by stress yan. Ang sama kasi ng ex niya
ReplyDeleteLet's not jump into conclusions. Sicknesses are caused by many factors, not entirely or exclusively due to stress.
DeleteIt could be genetics or environmental factors iyan.
DeleteNo, skin cancer is caused by exposure to sun's UV rays, period. Genetic hardly has a play here.
DeleteAywaw sure at maalam.
DeleteSure ako because my mom and dad both had and have skin cancer.
Delete12:33 sorry that was meant for 11:00 blaming it on her her ex and “stress” like she knows her personally

DeleteSad. Mabait pa naman sya.
ReplyDeleteHope you heal well. So lucky that you met a kind hearted fiancĂ©e who’s with you all the way. I was very ill and health was at risk before and my ex broke up on me via text #maisingitlang
ReplyDeleteThe one and only Dancing Queen.
ReplyDeletewe should have ourselves checked kasi kahit na mole yan na Malaki baka melanoma na. Mabuti yung maagapan.
ReplyDeleteLESSON: WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!!! Kahit hindi kayo lalabas sa araw, at least apply it on your face.
ReplyDeleteIgnorance is bliss, but yours is not. Some cancers are genetic including skin cancer. No matter how much sunscreen you wear and am pretty sure she does wear them.
