Really a wrong move on the part of carousel. Their decision was not thought off thoroughly and simply reeks of ill taste & lack of sensibility as well as sensitivity.
This is unnecessary. It is ridiculous--even asinine.
There is enough criteria to assess a candidate's abilities whether they are fit for the crown. Partiality, no matter how objective the standards are, is part and parcel of (subjective) judging, which is how such pageants are adjudged, anyway. An extra-ordinary candidate's character and true beauty will shine through and will separate herself from the pack during the preliminaries without a veil, anyway. A veiled face will not bring any more credence to this pageant's standards as they think it will, all the veil does is to make the organization look incompetent as it diminishes the ability of their judges, and the organization, in general, at finding true beauty beyond the obvious.
Whoever thought this was a sound idea is doing the organization a disservice; and should be disciplined or fired accordingly.
Teh, ang galing mo at agree ako sa iyo. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 Parang pageant final Q&A Lang, in fairness. Except Lang doon sa last part na dapat may masisante dahil medyo harsh yun.
Agree ako sa iyo 1:14, especially doon sa part na mag iistand out talaga yung mga pinaka magagaling, magaganda at most deserving manalo. Isa pa, kahit pa takpan yung muka e kailangan pa rin naman magsalita yung contestant diba? E usually sa pag iisip at pananalita nagkakatalo.
They could've used a better veil. This is tacky.
ReplyDeleteEmphasis on the body instead of the intellect and purpose of the pageant? Ano yan, choose your candidate via their bodies?
DeleteHipon siguro naka isip niyan...para na rin isulong ang plight ng mga kapwa niya hipon na hindi pinapalad sa mga legit beaucon ng bansa. #alamna

ReplyDeleteThey should have gotten inspiration from Chanel and or Giambattista Valli 2015. It would have been awesome.
