Pres. Aquino, along with Pres. Obama of the US, was named as one of Time's 100 most influential people for 2012. It's an honor that we Filipinos should be proud of. Everytime I see his face in one of the newsstands on my way to work, it makes me very proud to be a Filipino. Inquirer took all that glory with what they claim as honest mistake. I didn't realize that this magazine (or is it cheesy tabloid)is in the habit of not doing their research before publishing. Shame on you.
Published images are supposed to be copyrighted materials. Did they just grab photos from some websites like Facebook? The published photo is very much like a meme. They should've acquired the real photo from Time itself if they're given permission.
Kklk!!! Sana man lng ung pic na nkuha nila, ung nakatikom nman ang mouth.. Ahahaha!! Pero in all fairness... Ahahaha!!!
bias talaga ang 2 media in the Philippines PDI & ABS CBN can NOT be trusted... sa sobrang pagka dilaw nkalimutan mag check kung meme or real.. very irresponsible..
It's very disappointing. PDI isn't a tabloid, it's the leading newspaper in the country so the 'honest mistake' excuse isn't acceptable. The fact that they published a wrong photo proves that they didn't check the reliability of their source (which I think is the internet, lol). They should've asked TIME for it and gave credit to TIME magazine as their source. Fail.
Meme sa fb ng Showbiz Government hahaha...kinopya ng Inquirer nakakahiya...may credibility a kaya mga news nyo....pinagtatawaan kayo here sa abroad at dyan sa Pias.
Just like ABS News and Current Affairs which doesn't check and verify news first before airing them. Ilang beses na nakuryente. Nakakahiya!
Inquirer naman is so atat to deliver the news. Common sense and propriety dictate that the wrong cover looks so unacceptable for Time's standards! Ano ba kayo?!
Yikes look at the cover photo. Nakakatawa lalo na yung yellow yung "TIME" haha MEME.. ang mga atat and common sense kahit kasama pa si noynoy sa list marami pang significant personality kesa sa kanya na icocover oooppps!
Being a part of Time's 100 is something we should be happy about. I wonder why PDI ridiculed someone we should be proud of. Maybe they intend to be funny, but in the end, it backfired on them.
Another boo boo I couldn't forget is when they posted the photos of that witness in the Corona impeachment trial. The witness is an old man who suffered from stroke, hence, the unflattering facial expressions. So insensitive.
Comparing the two images, I should say, napaka amateur naman ng first image. Kung ako writer/editor, I should have noticed na yung "Time magazine" image is gawa ng isang student for a Magazine Editing class, and not as professional looking like in Time. Kung honest mistake nga talaga to, it's either "tamad lang ang graphic/layout designer and he/she just googled the image and save without even checking it twice" or "simpleng sinadya".
irresponsible journalism...far cry from the pre-edsa days wherein i patronized INQ coz of their brave and balance stories..but now?anyare sa editorial staff nila?vendetta?
The fact: Aquino is among the Top 100 but he is not on the cover.
ReplyDeleteVery reliable at trusted newspaper talaga itong inquirer!
DeleteDi man lang nila na check?

ReplyDeletenot really.. yung TIME 100 is a joke.. heck pati nga sila Blake Lively, Lea Michelle, etc.. naging part sa TIME 100..
Deletewhy say it's a 'joke'? If it is indeed a joke, why waste time and money bringing up a list?
ReplyDeleteSobrang biased kasi inquirer... Check your facts please!
ReplyDeleteYuck! Pati font type ng Time, di man lang nila napansin? Honest mistake nyo lelong nyong panot.
ReplyDeleteThis never happened! He's one of top 100 but didn't make the cover. Give me a break!
ReplyDeleteat least nag-sorry
ReplyDeleteMadalas ang errata ng PDI. Di na nagiging sincere ang sorry.

ReplyDeleteMalamang sa Facebook nakuha ung picture.
ReplyDeletePhilippine newspapers don't have credibility.
ReplyDeleteI think Fox News is worse

ReplyDeleteThe fact: Aquino is among the Top 100 but he is not on the cover. Ang galing ng pagkakaedit nito ha infairness. Ang alam ko si Cory ang naging cover ng Time Magazine before.
ReplyDeleteBeauty Tips, Working Dead, Blame Game at the top of the cover :))
ReplyDeleteAno ba yan, it's even made to ridicule the president, d pa rin napansin? hahaha
Such an honor for him and the Philippines, pero ngayon naiba tuloy ang focus. Mukang kinuha yung meme sa Tumblr o Facebook. FAIL.
