  2. I'm sure before my comment, someone must have commented "first!"

  3. What's that? A caterpillar or big worm?! And what restaurant is this! Eeeww!

    ReplyDelete
  4. OMG, That is disgusting. I almost puked in my mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Gosh.. Buti naman walang nag sabi.. "First to comment"... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  7. NKKLK yung kwento nito! Actually that really looks like a caterpillar, not a worm...

    ReplyDelete
  8. the resto deserves the so called "benefit-of-the-doubt"

    ReplyDelete
  9. halatang sabotahe. sarap kaya sa C.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Uod! At least you know it is "organic" haha! No pesticides used! :D I think this photo is circulating already on Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
GOSH!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Alang ganyan kalaking Uod sa Kangkong, Planted

    ReplyDelete
  13. HI FP!

I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sa chicGIRL... Ah este, lalaki pala! Daw itechiwa as may south, ah este Timogg avenue.. Hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  16. fake. if the caterpillar was cooked with the kangkong, dapat nacrush na yun. nice try to ruin a rising brand. stop crab mentality.

    ReplyDelete
  17. let's just say that this food joint is now serving exotic food? ;p

    ReplyDelete
  18. san resto kaya to?
baka naman kasama sa sahog yan
    eh ano yan??

    ReplyDelete
  19. oy, share naman!
    saang resto ba yan?
bka marami pang ganyang sahog sa ibang putahe nila
    hahah!

    ReplyDelete
  20. SERIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT BELIEVABLE.

FIRST OF ALL, HOW COULD SOMETHING THAT BIG BE IN A DISH? BUTI SANA KUNG UNG KATULAD NG MGA UOD NA NAKIKITA SA MGA EGGPLANT. KUNG GANUN ANG NAKITA WITH THE KANGKONG, POSSIBLE PA. C'MON PEOPLE... WOULD YOU REALLY BELIEVE NA HINDI NAKITA YAN NUNG NAGLULUTO KAHIT NUNG NAGSERVE? BE REALISTIC, YOU'D KNOW NA IMPOSSIBLE 'TO.
I'M NOT A FAN OF THIS RESTAURANT, BUT REALLY... IT'S JUST PLAIN STUPID TO BELIEVE THIS. AND FOR THE PERSON WHO TOOK THAT PICTURE, GALINGAN MO NAMAN PROPS MO NEXT TIME. :)

  23. eww nakabaliktad na ginisang uod...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  25. alam ko na
    oh boy...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Super naluto ang caterpillar bago naging butterfly..wawa!hahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Total smear campaign. To whoever did this and those who are propagating it, shame on you. Tsk tsk!

    ReplyDelete
  28. hiniwa hiwa pa pala nya yan haha:D

    --fvanessa

    ReplyDelete
  30. The resto na mahilig sa chick at sa boys. Yeah, big caterpillar nga. Kung planted, niluto muna nung nag-post? I highly doubt it. The uod could really pass for a big stalk of kangkong, kundi maganda maglinis. Kadiri! Yun lang

    ReplyDelete
  31. saang resto ito? yuck!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I reposted that on my FB also. I've never tried the C kainan yet. Is it nice there?

    ReplyDelete
  33. looks like a caterpillar of "higad" type, doesn't look like planted because of the color na mukhang naluto na ng husto

    ReplyDelete
  34. this is planted. walang caterpillar na ganyan kalaki sa kangkungan..nakikita ko mga caterpillar na ganyan sa malalaking puno eh..

    ReplyDelete
  35. OMG!!! NKKLK!!
hinalo by mistake or talagang sangkap ng kangkong?
    GROSS!

    ReplyDelete
  36. i think it's planted. it's way too big to be unnoticed. why are some people deliberately destroying a good business? i havent tried this place yet but i saw this in facebook. common sense naman, sobrang laki lng kasi nung caterpillar para hindi mapansin. and given that the vegies ay natadtad na, dapat din siguro natadtad na din ung caterpillar. ano un? uod on the side? tsk tsk

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's a playboy resto...Grabe nman yan d nakita hbng sa kitchen plang or Baka nilgy ng ka away.lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. oh my god?? where is this? if i go to a resto eto pa namn lagi ko order!

    ReplyDelete
  39. impossible to believe! sabotage!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Parang masyado naman yatang malaki yung uod not to be noticed by whoever is cooking and/or serving it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. organic diba? bwahahahah I don't think this is sabotage.... guys tuwing may bad reaction nalang about a resto ..sabotage na ba talga yun? eh pano kung madumi nga talga.. ive seen restaurant kitchens... not a pretty sight.... nakakshock. to the point na hindi nako bumalik dahil nakakatrauma... stupid thesis for school. hahahah

    ReplyDelete
  42. the costumer who found the uod is a writer, director, producer and an actress, cguro she wants to make a name for herself,or maybe nabayaran para gumawa ng script to discredit them against sa competitor na natatalo...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  44. A caterpillar that big, and nobody from the kitchen saw it? Bulag ba ang nag serve?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Eeeow! Moral lesson: Always check the food before eating. Mabilisan nga ang fastfood but let's all be wary about the food being served.

Also, i don't think this is a demolition job. It is one instance where an irate and disappointed customer has vented out her frustration about the incompetence of the management to explain how a caterpillar was included in her sauted kangkong.

Just answer clearly and directly that it was an error on their part and it will not happen again. Tapos!

Boo to that fastfood chain. Tsk!

    ReplyDelete
  46. is this the new health food craze, kangkong with baby butterfly hehe?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Mukang naluto yung caterpillar! haha

    ReplyDelete
  48. ndi lng pala madaming paa and caterpillar. madami ding babae. anong tawag sa lalakeng madaming chiks??? C B!! hahaha

    hi fp

    ReplyDelete
  49. This is obviously "sabotahe". A caterpillar as huge as this would definitely be SEEN while cooking. The restaurant in question is really "killing" the competition...thus, this.

    ReplyDelete
  50. dinner date na vegetarian, na magiging paru-paro eventually?

    ReplyDelete
  51. orrr my grass.... define organic.

    ReplyDelete

Getz????

    -yarub srevol

    ReplyDelete
  54. i had same experience pero sakin durog durog na ipis sa mais con yelo sa reyes barbecue don antonio branch malapit sa ever,,,, we still saved the pictures... kaso lang nakakaawa lang mga staffs kung mag reklamo pa kami magkano na nga lang sweldo nila tapos papaalisin pa ng owners pag nalaman na ganun... so di na kami nagreklamo di rin kasi namin alam kung kanino kami lalapit.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sa tingin ko true itey.fb nia kya gamit nia and yung pic may isang naka tiwarik yung caterpillar at nbawasan na!ewww.pero at least herbivore yan!hhahaha

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sauteed with the kangkong and garlic! Saraaaaaap!

    ReplyDelete
  60. @ 7:34 tru, in fairness dahon lang kinakain ng catterpillar. tsaka ano yan halos maubos na nila bago nakita yang ganyan kalaking nilalang? Sabotage!

    ReplyDelete
  61. iew! well, ipis nga nasasama sa food eh. caterpillar pa kaya. nde imposible

    ReplyDelete
  62. this has been the talk of the town.
I think this is not true, I really like to eat there

    ReplyDelete
  63. ODK Is dat a Dinosaur???? O_o

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  65. Company sabotage.. Looks like planted...

    ReplyDelete
  66. i think this was planted by someone or some institution who wanted to destroy the resto's reputation because it has really grown much in terms of property-somebody must be getting insecure

    ReplyDelete
  67. YIKES! Is that a centipede or something?!

    ReplyDelete
  68. grabe naman sana bfore serving shuld be checked by the cook/s..malaking YAKS!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Tama...inggit lang siguro yun iba jan.kaya sinisiraan.... ang laki nyan para d makita ng nagluluto...siguro naiinggit si the more the merrier

    ReplyDelete
  70. Fp, c* also issued a statement that is circulating in fb denying all allegations and that this is a sabotage. Maybe you can post it to be fair.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  74. Before kayo magsabi ng sabotahe or planted, alamin n'yo muna or magbasa muna kayo ng past posts regarding the issue.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Ewww!! Haven't seen this on Facebook pa.. Kadiri, the who and resto na itech?!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I don't think it's planted naman. THe one who posted it in facebook actually used her personal account. I had a similar experience but with chowking, pero hindi ganyan kalaki! To be honest if rushed talaga yung preparation, pwedeng isipin na sitaw or whatever yung caterpillar kung hindi tititigang maige. Chicks! Ang baBOY! :p

    ReplyDelete
  77. i read about that too. i think it's just that branch. people saying that they won't eat at C ever again are over reacting. maybe i won't eat at C timog anymore, but other branches ok lang.

    ReplyDelete
  78. dba caterpillar is "higad" or "gusano" in tagalog?

    ReplyDelete
  79. baka naman kasi totoo ngang may kasamang caterpillar or uod yung sinerve sa kanila. kaya yung mga nagsasabi na demolition job ito against sa business na yun, tumahimik na lang kayo. paano kung kayo ang maserbisyuhan ng ganyan? hindi kayo magre-reklamo? i know, dapat hindi na nagpost/nagreklamo online yung complainant kung hindi siya pinansin ng management ng nasabing establishment, dapat nagfile na lang siya ng legal action. pero nagawa ng i-post yun at kumalat na online and there's nothing we can do to contain the matter anymore. all we can do now is pray na sana maisip ng mga nasa food industry na bigyan ng magandang serbisyo ang mga customer nila. na sana hindi lang income ang isipin nila, na dapat pati kalusugan at kaligtasan ng kanilang customer ay kanilang isipin.

i know that the food they serve is delicious. hindi natin maita-tanggi yan. but when the health of its customers is in danger or is involve, that's a very different matter. hindi lang dapat masarap ang food nila o mura. dapat malinis din ito.

so next time na um-order kayo ng food, bago i-subo yun, tingnan niyo na lang muna yung in-order niyo.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Is it possible not to see a "stuff" as big as that before putting it inside your mouth? Not that i'm doubting on the complainant, but i suppose that's bigger than the size of a tablespoon. Also, it's bigger than kangkong?

    ReplyDelete
  81. baby butterfly hehe.

    dava?

    -Emcee

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm not surprised... I don't like this resto at all

    ReplyDelete
  83. ano ba kayo! sa Zimbabwe delicacy yan uod na yan! buti nga walang extra charge eh! hihihi!

    ReplyDelete
  84. C is for caterpillar xD planted nga yan.anlaki na iba pa kulay tapos nakaslice yung kangkong.standout masyado para di makita ng nagprepare.

    ReplyDelete
  85. parang mahirap yata yung puked in my mouth translated literally susuka sa loob ng bibig , Isn't it that vomit comes out palabas hindi papasok...artista naman masyado ....
Anyways I'm sure planted I mean may caterpillar ba sa kangkong or higad for that matter dva sa puno lang yun or baka nalaglag sa puno na may nakatanim na kangkong sa baba lol

    ReplyDelete
  86. not first to comment :P

    ReplyDelete
  87. Sabotage. Whatever that is, its too impossible na hindi makita nung server na nasa plate. Its quite huge actually. I havent tried eating sa resto na to, pero logically, the veggies are almost finely chopped, how could they possibly miss the "uod"?

    ReplyDelete
  91. korek dats a catterpillar
    inasal hahaha kadiri

    =cavite girl=

    ReplyDelete
  92. Saw the complete pics on FB.. Yuck!! Overrated ang C. Walang masarap na food. Chicken nila super dry mas masarap pa ang M. Yung Lechon nila nakakaumay din. Tapos ngayon may bulate pa at pangit customer service. Im never going back there again.

    ReplyDelete
Never went back there again. They probably really have a problem in food preparation, handling and sanitation.

    ReplyDelete
  94. kaya di natepok caterpillar kasi
    di naman hiniwalay ang mga
na slice na kangkong sa unsliced
so may possibility na rumampa muna
    tumpok of kangkok to another
lakwatcherang uod yan ang taba taba!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  96. My friend experienced bad from C. Me nahalong buog sa pagkain nila at ang anak p nia ang nakasubo. Buti nlang malaki ung bubog at iniluwa agad ng bata. Mabait nman ung manager at dinala agad sila sa hospital for check up. I forgot which branch...if my friend experienced this kind horrible service then I should believe this complainant...the management should look into this..sa dami ng kumakain sa kanila..napapabayaan n ang quality ng food...which is the most important...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  99. ive read the article in Fb about this crazy-baby-butterfly in her kangkong and yes it is quite disgusting (ulk!) and i dont think she planted that thing in her food.

thisis not the first time it happened to C. One of my friends ate at C somewhere at GH and he told me that he saw tinnie winnie roachie in his soup but he just asked the waiter to take it away and didnt bother to tell the mngr.

tsk tsk tsk too much for a fast food grill yes.

    ReplyDelete
  100. It actually looks like a slug to me.

    ReplyDelete
  101. HINDI SIYA PLANTED. Luto yung Caterpillar eh. Possible yan kasi may dahon dahon ang kangkong, hindi ma nonotice yung uod kung sino man nagsalin sa kawali or kung saan man siya niluluto. Kakulay niya yung dahon. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  102. @tj

    Diretso ba lagi ang caterpillar?

    ReplyDelete
  103. hindi imposible ito. kailangan lang maging NEGLIGENT ng crew for this to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  104. tingin ko totoo to.

    ReplyDelete
  105. caterpillar na well done.... hahaha.... baka it adds more flavor kaya isinahog....

    ReplyDelete
  106. I don't like how companies scream "sabotage" every time there's a complaint like this. It's not right and people shouldn't accept it. Planted or not, the company need to thoroughly investigate the incident before saying anything final. Them claiming it's off the bat sabotage makes them sound so defensive. To everyone who eats there, what if this happened to you? You can't just go around blaming people they're out to destroy your business without proof. Whatever happened to being innocent until proven guilty? Same din naman for the establishment; we shouldn't judge until there has been an investigation and the facts are known.
Diba according to the story ng nag complain, sabi ng employee may CCTV daw. Asan footage?
Basta bottomline, I don't agree with the company's statement about the incident. Nakakainis.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Looks like sabotage. I'm not a fan of this chain - ate only once and concluded it's overrated. But it looks like a plant - planted caterpillar that is. Ang laki para halos maubos ni customer ung order before noticing it. And hindi ganun kagenerous servings ng resto na to para di mapansin ung ganyan kalaking uod. On the other hand, pesticide free ang kangkong nila because may uod hehe so indulge!

    ReplyDelete
  108. big deal. in other asian countries, caterpillars are street food. by day's end, mas masarap pa din kay manang at mang. the way this resto prepares their kangkong is not so palatable. bigger cuts, naman, please.

    ReplyDelete

    b. malaki ang uod at imposibleng di mapansin
    c. finely chopped daw ang veggies nila

Kung di pa sila nakakakain dun, pano nila nalaman na finely chopped yung veggies?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

---Walang mapapala? How about, she's been paid by someone or some company to ruin this resto? Some people are blinded by money.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I believe her because I happen to experience the same thing in R's Mc Kinley. Saw a small cockroach in my halohalo just after starting to mix that dessert. The same approach was taken by the store manager who apparently denied to give her name at first and instead gave me a number where to call. I even asked them to refund everything but they told me that they can only refund that one item. I can feel her exasperation over trying to talk to someone who can answer questions pertaining to thenincident. The difference is the staff apologized to me immediately.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

  115. sigrid is not part of the competition trying to sabotage C as the owners claim. she's a credible source and the irate customer at that. all she wanted was an apology but chicboy management's reaction was childish, defensive and arrogant. there's more damage done that way. it's a messy affair & i hope they learn a lesson ( a costly one) from it.
    -FIDES

    ReplyDelete
  116. I personally know the person who found the caterpillar in her dish. She is someone I respect as an artist and as a person, Sigrid would not sacrifice her name and reputation by making false accusations. She has nothing to gain from doing so. This is NOT FAKE, this is a real customer experience. This is not a smear campaign or sabotage against C by its competitors as what C is claiming. I wish C would just apologize and acknowledge their negligence. Instead, they want to file libel charges against the author. I feel sorry for Sigrid, she is just a customer who aired out her complaint. I hope this ends well.

D nako babalik.. Puro kwentohan pa mga workers nila tulad sa panck hs ganon din puro kwentohan and very bad service pa. Etong pix is sa qc branch nila nangyari to.

    ReplyDelete
  118. demolition job na palpak. 1. how can u not see a caterpillar as big as that? nung paubos na saka lng nakita? 2. the person, who narrated this alleged mishap sa FB, said in her album description na lasang petroleum jelly at oily daw yung uod na akala niya eh talong pero base sa picture na ito di pa pala nahiwa yung uod. pano nya kaya nalasahan yan? pinicture-an muna nya bago hiniwa at tinikman? if that's the case, she already knew beforehand that it was a caterpillar but then she still tasted it so she can complain. 3. mukha bang talong yan? may talong ba na maraming tinik. just asking. you be the judge dearies. tsk tsk

    ReplyDelete

  122. i read the original post ng customer and the hamon ng C saying na they will sue her. nadisappoint lang ako kasi sana pinainvestigate muna ng may-ari or franchisee yung incident. eh ang kaso nagjump na sila agad sa conclusion na naninira etong customer so they are going to file a case against her. aray ko po! kung totoo man yung complaint ni customer, kawawa naman sya - nakakain na nga ng bulate, kakasuhan pa.

Their only defense is that they've been in the business for a year and a half and that they cut their vegetables into bits. No mention on how the caterpillar got into the dish.

She insisted to see the "owner" of the establishment. Talaga owner ang puntirya niya. Not to mention she's a director or writer or sometimes an actress for plays or indie films.

So di mo na nila mapapansin kung may nahalo man sa pagkain mo unless nakain nila to.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Di man lang nila inantay maging butterfly.

I've heard a few bad things about this chain pero sa branch lang malapit sa amin and mostly related sa confusion dahil bago pa lang. Or ininit lang yung food or medyo maalat.
Since me ganyan silang issue mas conscious sila sa sanitary practices nila.

    ReplyDelete
  134. whether planted or not, sana nag-apologize na lang yung resto. but no apologies were heard. accdg sa fb post ni sigrid, nilecturan pa nga sya kung pano ang proseso nila sa pagkain. tapos i saw sa resto's fb page some people were asking: why didn't you just apologize? tapos ang sagot ng owner ng resto ay first policy daw nila na magsorry sa customer so di raw totoo yung sinabi ni sigrid na di sila nagsorry. huh? that's assuming the staff followed the policy. the owner wasn't there to verify if nagsorry nga yung manager. angas pa nga nung head waiter. may footage chu-chu daw.

my mom is a franchisee herself but of a different product owned by my tita. i asked my mom to tell my tita to let her franchisees know (and their managers) na ihandle ang complaints ng customers ng mabuti kasi iba na talaga nagagawa ng social network ngayon. madali na magkalat ng info and it can either make or break a business...

3rd time- sabi ng crew 15minutes daw ang order namin, so we patiently waited... And to our surprise ung mga ulam na inorder namin lahat hilaw! Sunog sa labas hilaw sa loob! And pati ung yelo nila maalat!

  140. I think she's telling it as it is. Don't we all manage to put our complaints re some establishments in our online accounts at one point? Not a lot got to this level probably because the management in those institutions handled it differently.

This caterpillar used to be green, could've easily blended in with the stalks. While they don't eat kangkong per se, it could've crawled from other fresh veggies in the vegetable stands where they were sold. I doubt the resto harvests their kangkong from their own organic garden eh.

    ReplyDelete
  141. The kangkong could have been pre-cut already, and the caterpillar could have easily crawled into the bowl before being scooped up to be cooked. Notice the caterpillar's color is already charred, meaning it was already part of the cooking procedure.

I believe Sigrid's story. And after hearing all the comments, especially the resto's retaliation, I feel even more for her. The most prudent thing they should have done was to at least apologize for whatever inconvenience the customer experienced. That is not synonymous with admitting fault, but just a simple display of empathy for how the customer feels. Malaking bagay na yon.

Next, they should have investigated the claims and reviewed the claims thoroughly before hastily concluding that it was planted. Whether true or not, that's the least they could have done to assure the public that your cooking and preparation procedures are all sanitary. Carrying out a simple evaluation and improvement of your back room operations won't hurt you and will even show that you respect and value your customers. I feel disgusted that they simply brushed off the whole incident as sabotage and insisted that there's no way it could have happened. Really, as in how could you really be 100% sure? As I said, a thorough internal investigation and evaluation wouldn't have hurt.

And to top it all off, they have plans to sue the girl now. Really, what message are they relaying with this course of action? That rather than being proactive and improving what needs to be improved in their operations, they'd rather be on the offense right away? Also, take note that they deliberately withheld the specimen from her when they knew that she was planning to report it to the BFAD. Thus, she was left with no choice but to rant and let out her frustration on social media. And now she faces a court case because of that. Tsk, tsk.

I agree with most of the comments here, that it's easy to judge the girl and conclude that she planted it. Well, wait until this same incident happens
to you. I imagine if I was with my kids, I would have gone even more berserk. I think she deserves the benefit of the doubt too.

And to that resto, with the quality of customer service you are giving, you don't deserve to be in the business. Obviously, you don't give a shit about customer satisfaction and are in the business just to make money. You are not worthy of respect. And by the way, I'm not connected in any way with Mang Inasal. I'm just an ordinary diner, like Sigrid, who also deserves clean food when I pay hard earned money for it. Are you gonna sue me now for libel too?

    ReplyDelete

  145. I dont understand Filipinos. Bakit and unang iniisip ay pananabotahe? Well, tell you what.. most of them DONT! WHy bother? Lalo na kung routine na nila yun, they would just get the ingredients and throw it in the pan! ANd one other point, kung magpplant ka ng insect sa pagkaain, why you bother stir-frying it first?! SERIOUSLY? Look at that it! It dead, its dry - its obviously been cooked! So sa mga naglalagay na planted, just wish that one day you will experience the same thing and no one will believe you.

  153. By the way, to those who think that restaurant chains still do pre-prep for ingredients, just so you know, they dont. Thats what commissaries do - they are the ones in charged of portioning, cutting and basically the whole pre-preparation process. Then, this just gets delivered to individual stores who basically just cooks these ingredients which are most of the time packed per serving already.

  154. what i noticed both in c timog and makati (jupiter ata) people there are mabait naman. once my office mate complained their lechon baboy -- puro taba kasi. the manager then replaced lechon with more laman than taba. then the best part there was the manager gave it for free. i am not pro - C. but seriously i don't think it is fatal. i also agree that the higad is so big for her not to see in such a small serving of kangkong. : ]

    ReplyDelete
  155. i had my own bad experience here. me and my bf went to their Alabang branch with his cousin. We want to try their famous cebu lechon. Aside from that i ordered their tokwang baboy kasi i am craving it that time. My bf said, he doesn't like the taste as it taste like crap daw yung tokwa. i didn't mind kasi if you are hungry, everything seems to be delicious. the following day, ayun, pag kagising ko sumasakit tyan ko and nagkaroon ako ng makating pantal all over my boday. i was rush to the ER. We found out that there's something wrong with the tokwa. Kaya hindi na ako umulit. It's my first time to eat there tapos ganun pa nangyari.

My comment on the issue. Please take note that we are all prone to human error. kahit maganda ang company policies and trainings, meron at meron pa ding flaws. Meron pa ding mga bagay na nakakalimutan at nakakaligtaan lalo na we are under pressure or madaming trabaho. lalo na kung madaming customers.

Kaya nga my quality control kahit ano pa ang industry di ba?

Totoo man to o hindi, kailangan ng iimprove ang food safety and kailangan din ng consumer awareness.

    ReplyDelete
  156. How can you say that C didn't apologize to the customer? Just because the customer mentioned in her script that the management of C didn't apologize you immediately believed her without hearing the side of C? If you say that the writer will not sacrifice her name and reputation by making false accusations, do you think that the poor waiter and manager will sacrifice their job by not apologizing to the customer? They have families to feed too you know. If the writer is really really mad because the waiter cannot explain why there is a caterpillar in her dish, why did it took her 3 weeks before she decided to write a long demolition script? What happened last Monday was a ONE SIDED PUBLIC STATEMENT.

    ReplyDelete
  157. To C: Ano bang mawawala sa inyo if you had just issued a simple, "We are sorry for the inconvenience ma'am, we will immediately investigate the matter and conduct an inspection of our cooking areas to make sure all health and sanitary standards are met. We would like to assure the public that customer satisfaction and quality continue to be our utmost priority." O, eh di tapos! Take note you didn't even have to admit anything was your fault. But at least the customer is assured that her satisfaction matters and that you will be looking into the incident. Wouldn't that have been more effective and respectable instead of just hastily concluding, "The competition is getting desperate! We will file for libel!" Asus! Your PR and crisis management is really lousy to say the least. Now you have managed to turn off more people instead of turning this crisis into something positive. Remember that Sigrid is not your only customer. You have thousands of other customers who are now doubtful and disgruntled and whom you have to appease now as well. How are you going to assure and convince them now that your cooking stations are indeed caterpillar-free? This is precisely the problem that arises when business owners get too greedy. Branches start sprouting all over the metro like mushrooms so fast that quality standards and customer service are soon compromised. Tapos money and being number one in the business becomes more important than having sincere and genuine concern for the customers' needs. Kawawa naman tayo mga lowly diners, we just have to eat our caterpillars, grin and bear it?

    Good point.

Tsaka Kung galing man sa supplier nila yung caterpillar, responsibility pa rin ng resto to make sure na walang masama na foreign objects sa food noh.

It's so easy to automatically blame the customer and claim it's a sabotage without doing any background checks first. Such a lame and cheap excuse.

And for those brushing off the caterpillar as "rich in protein" anyway, don't you know caterpillars can also transmit bacteria and parasites? If you don't believe me watch the Discovery Channel.

-Bad yan C! Bakit kailangan mag file ng case it only goes to show na wala kayong pakialam sa customers niyo, kami ang kumakain dpat pinakikinggan niyo kami, imbis na pagalitan niyo nalang ang mga naghanda, ang customers pa ang masama! I will never go back to C! The last time kumain ako, super oily ng baboy at grabe halos wala ako makain sa sobrang liit ng serving.

  171. Id like to share my same experience sa B Mega Mall, (yun masarap talaga ang chicken chops). Sa rice ko naman, pagka hiwa ko meron buhok na parang galing sa kilikili or kung san man parte ng bodayyy kadiri talaga kasi curly siya tapos may white pa sa dulo as in ewwwwwness! SInimplehan ko yun manager na naka salamin (I can only remember her face) Tapos tinuro ko yun foreign object sa rice ko. Bumulong naman siya na "Mam, palitan nalang po namin for free", sabi ko, "Hindi na bale, just please make sure na next time around, malinis yun food na isserve kasi nkakasuka at wala na akong gana kumain." Buti sana kung edible or kahit anong insect (wc is still unacceptable) pero hindi eh, galing sa body part ng kung sino man nag prepare, and to take note! Wala kang makikitang ganun ka tiny na hair like an inch sa ulo mo kundi sa underarm or sa inguinal area or sa legs lang. This must be taken seriously by all other establishments lalo na yun mga fast food.

The crew and the manager apologized right away and did not include the sinigang in the bill.
