Desiger Offered 2 Gives to Fashion Scam Victims

Fashion Designer Puey Quinones Offered to 2 Gives to Fashion Scam Victims

Sa caption, ito ang mababasa: "The designer asked 30k for this suit.

Nakasaad dito na, "BOBON is not in any way involved in the design, production or sale of the suit in the photo, or the affixing of the 'BOBON by Puey Quinones' label to the suit."

Nilinaw din sa note na, "BOBON is not affiliated with any one designer. Although the label "Bobon by Puey Quinones" was initially used in 2008, this label was discontinued more than a year ago. Since 2010, all BOBON pieces simply bear the label 'BOBON.'

"We have no knowledge of how the label 'Bobon by Puey Quinones' ended up in the suit in the Facebook post as we have used every effort to reclaim and destroy these old labels. We are certain that this suit was not purchased by the owner from or through BOBON."

Sabi pa niya sa isang comment sa Facebook thread, "The transaction was between the couple and the designer. So don't worry. You're [owner of Bobon] out of this."

"I REGRET THAT ALL THIS HAPPENED."

Ito ang kabuuang pahayag ni Puey: "Regarding the recent "fashion scam", I regret that all this happened. First and foremost, I would like to apologize to the couple for all the trouble that it has caused them.

"I was simply pressured to create a suit and found a perfect blank canvas to develop. I know the entire situation could have been handled better but now it has just been blown out of proportion and affected so many others.

"I assure all concerned that I am doing the best that I can to fix this situation. I have been in contact with the party involved and intend to settle this peacefully.

"To the couple who brought attention to this matter and to everyone else that have raised concerns over the quality of my service as a designer... I am sorry.

"I am doing all that I can to make sure that this does not happen again.

"Thank you for your understanding and for your concern."

NO TO NEW SUIT. Ngunit ang kasalan ay mangyayari umano in less than two weeks.

Needless to say, my friend went to another designer for help."

Sinabi rin niya, "I never thought many people would react to it. All I wanted was to help a friend out. Sana hindina mangyari ulit."

  1. I don't know where he puts all the money he gets from his clients. I was his bride last year and it made me feel worried all the time if he can finish my gown and my entourage's dresses. He asks for advance payments all the time. One time on my way to his shop for fitting he texted me and asked for another advance payment. I said that i only had 2k with me that time cause i really wasn't expecting to be paying another advance payment. He said 2k would be ok cause he really needed the money. Super desperate with money na nakakatakot na kasi i don't even know if he'll be able to finish all the gowns for my wedding. It would be forgivable kung naging ok lahat ng dresses pero at the end ung final product hindi worth it. Tinipid nya lahat saka walang quality ung gawa.

I hope other brides or anyone who can read this won't be able to go through the same experience i had with him.

  2. News like this pisses me off. I mean, 30K IS 30K. It's not something that grows on trees.

I really hope they are able to fix this situation. Puey is a good designer pa naman.

  3. what th hell is this? even if he is a darn good designer, what kind of credibility will he have now?? i agree with what pilar said, 30K is 30K. and you expect to get your money's worth. "i found a blank canvass and worked with it?" that is his explanation? the heck? and people will let him get away with that? i for one have lost all respect for the person. and with what stefanie said above, about how he went about his servicing her for her wedding was horrifying! i can imagine how she felt! and he kept on advancing payments? my wedding designer was very professional, there was a schedule of payments, fittings were done regularly, staff called us up to remind us of fitting dates, and we all got our gowns two months before my wedding with everything well executed and in order. the designer even helped with accessories and all. now that's professional service.
the fashion industry does not need people like these without proper work ethics & that pull the wool over everyone's eyes and pass themselves off as designers.

  8. he should be banned from designing altogether. imagine all the inconvenience he has caused his clients. you only get married once and a bride does not need a bad experience like this to last her a lifetime.

  12. Hirap kasi sa ibang designers tanggap ng tanggap ng design jobs tapos in the end maiipit ung client. I remembered one time my fashion designer friend told me na diskarte nila humingi ng humingi ng downpayment tapos ipapakita na lang ang gown on the day or the day before gagamitin yun kaya kung di mo gusto no choice na kasi gagamitin. Salbahe!
